  1. I get it now, 15-2 in the 3rd to get to the rain delay.
  2. PJ did get a punch out, punched Gibson's ticket out of Rochester.
  3. What's this flashing across the bottom of the screen " the Twins and Indians are in a rain delay in the 3rd inning'? At this rate we'll never get to the 3rd.
  4. I'm not surprised at all. Just to bad we had that 10 gamer. A couple of wins there and we'd be over .500
  5. That is sad, and lucky no one on the bus was hurt. Getting there a day early still involves a bus ride.
  6. Pretty good chance I'm in that photo behind the bench.
  7. Something here just rings sour. The first time I saw Max with his arm iced, he said he'd be out a week, nothing to worry about. Then maybe 10 days later he tells me another week. And then the same a week or so later. That's been 3 months ago. He's really got to be frustrated. What's with the medical staff and just what was the injury in the first place. Certainly someone was way off base here.
  8. I miss few games, so probably watched more than you have, and I don't like watching losses. So, to me, wins and losses mean something. The team has been a whole lot easier to watch lately, compared to last season, as we are getting some decent pitching early and not falling behind by 5 runs 3 innings into it. What we need is some hitting. I've seen Gibson since he's signed with us, and he is what he is, that's it. No big deal. I think alot of posters gushing about him are going to be disappointed. No sense rushing disappointment. He'll get here when someone else implodes or gets injured.
  9. I've never heard of a season where wins and losses don't matter.
  10. Willingham sits. Good thing he needs some time off. It would be nice to take this series and creep a little closer.
  11. Willingham's certainly been a big disappointment lately. Even in situations where the defense is giving up the run on a ground ball he can't seem to do it. So he's got a knee problem or whatever, maybe some time sitting will help out. I do like seeing Arcia out there anyway.
  12. They couldn't have picked a better game to showcase Buxton. He's putting on quite a show.
  13. A little less salesmanship and more play by play would really be nice. Course, the 10% watching that don't read Twins Daily may be getting informed somewhat. What a lousy way to show a game.
  14. Vavra not sending Herrman way back when cost us a run.
  15. Denny Hocking may be available.
  16. All this back and forth about Benson for nothing. People forget that Terry Ryan gave Benson a gift by letting him go and getting another chance. That was the reason for the move, period. Joe's done well with the chance, if he was still here he may be still doing nothing.
  17. 8! That's just great. How thrilling for the fans in Cedar Rapids to be able to watch such a good team!
  18. It's time to keep the pedal to the metal and create some space. Even though it's smoke and mirrors, 3rd place ain't bad. And some of the hitters are slowly coming around and if that continues, the smoke may clear.
  19. I don't think I've ever had a one day flu. I get the flu and I'm down and out for a few days. The other day I went into a store early in the aft and the worker was leaving with a replacement showing up. She said she had the flu. She looked fine to me. I really wonder if these folks who say they have the flu one day and are fine the next really know what the flu is.
  20. I think he'll be in Ft Myers soon, and could possibly see New Britain late in the season. Then he'll start in New Britain next spring and if all goes well will be in Rochester mid season with a possible call up to the Twins later. This kid has it all and I'm not a bit surprised by the admiration he's getting from Kellly, Molitor and the rest. 5 tools, but I think the most impressive thing about him is his head. For his age, he's really a smart baseball player and a sharp young man. He should be fun to watch for many years and an example for younger players to watch, as some you can bet are doing right now.
  21. Big hit for Doumit! Good eyes at the plate and a triple and we're winners, so sweet for all those soggy fans there, and us at home.
  22. If Dozier could bunt we'd be up 3-2. He'll be putting in some overtime when the games over.
