This year jim pohlad said money was no object , while Ryan was planning to reduce payroll to collect his end of the year bonus ....for reducing payroll

    Who did we aquire without question marks? Terry Ryan needs lots of things to break right for him this season, or he had better quit and ride off into the sunset,and take his posse with him....

    wish you were marking my papers in grade school , you are overly generous, my thinking is Ryan earned a D grade ... an established table setter, +defender in center ,for an A ball maybe,then a young exciting speedster for a sore armed #5 and a regressing AA player? then throwing away 15 million on correia and pelfrey...not smart baseball decissions.. just proves Ryan is a small market minded G.M.

    Well now that Ryan has solidified the 4th and 5 th spots in the rotation , we are right back where we started ,minus a centerfielder and a right fielder...

    My concern is the left handed relievers Dunny and his 4.40 era wasnt really bad, much better as a reliever then starter, but its Robertson and his 5.40 era that i wonder about... is there any leftys in the pipeline who can challenge for a spot?

    With Taillon and Cole ready or nearly ready , it would not surprise me at all to see Frankie in the pen as a 1 inning reliever.... Especially with the Pirates looking to trade there closer
