  1. His stats dont support the notion he didnt improve. That pick seemed like a reach. Surrant was a reach.
  2. Oh ****....I love that pick!!!
  3. The edge rush run seems to have ended. Ojulari, Basham, and Ossai are all still there. We're coming up on trading time. Or the window they can move up to at a reasonable price.
  4. We have 8 picks (I think) between the 3rd and 4th. I'm with Mike - you need to come away with a DE, a DB, an OL, and a WR. LB would be my next choice too.
  5. Our biggest need now, by a country mile, is a pass rusher. I don't know if we've forgotten, but QBs were going untouched and operating with freedom for most of the season. Yeah, Hunter is coming back, but he's coming back from a mystery neck injury. This team needs to add juice to the pass rush, every other need is far below that IMO. Ossai, Ojulari, Basham - if one of them slips to around 50 we need to move up and add them. After that, I'm not in favor of Bradbury to guard. He has enough trouble holding up when he's mostly uncovered. He's just not strong enough yet for that shift. Brady Christensen would be a good convert. Wyatt Davis can play. Kendell Green. They'll have options there. Same with a stud 3rd WR, the draft is deep in that range. But not until the pass rush is fixed. All the veterans in the secondary and other places won't matter if you can't push the QB.
  6. Ossai is the guy I want to take a stab at.
  7. At this point the trade up should be for a high end front 7 guy. 8 picks in 3 and 4 is too many for a 53 man roster.
  8. Drafting a CB will definitely make A-Aron happy. 66 and 86 are roughly worth a pick in the 45 range. Something to watch for. I think a trade up is inevitable.
  9. If they added 66 and 86 and still land Darrisaw....that's a huge win.
  10. If there is one position with some depth in this draft it's OT. (That fits a need at least) We'll see what we do at 23. Darrisaw is still there.
  11. 66 is hopefully a nice pick to move up from.
  12. 14 and 143 for 23, 66, and 86. I like that.
  13. We gotta hope someone really wants Jones.
  14. I understand, but just because fan sentiment thought that doesn't make it so. My issue is they've framed it as "They dealt Wentz, so they must have a plan at pick 6" And I just think....yeah, to draft Jalen Hurts some help. People have just ran with this notion and it seems utterly ludicrious to me. Hurts looks like a steal and he's making chump change.
  15. I am bewildered on all the smoke of a QB going to Philly. Did these rumor spreaders not see Jalen Hurts play last year? No WR, no OL....dude still put up 300+ combo yards and 9 TDs in four starts. Why would they need a QB?
  16. A few hours of discomfort for the good of all society and to help those at risk seems like a small price to pay. Vaccines work by eradicating the opportunity for a virus to spread. That requires buy-in from us all. It's ok not to love having to get a shot, but we need to get back to a point where we recognize we're all in this crazy ride together. Our greatest accomplishments have come when we recognize the shared sacrifice rather than indulge our self-centered nature.
  17. I think Fusco and Sullivan were both when he was the VP of personnel and not GM? I think 2012 was his first official draft, which is why I was confused which role you meant. Personally I lump 3-4 together and 5-7 together, but I see what you mean. We mostly agree.
  18. I wasn't advocating he was right, simply restating his stance. That said, he's hit a few times in the late rounds: Diggs, Weatherly, Stephen, John Sullivan. But not nearly enough to justify his obsession with it.
  19. The draft pool being shallow makes me think he'll be even more likely to hoard this year. He's said he likes having the 7th rounders as a way of getting an early start on UDFA. I continue to believe our best bet is that the QB frenzy pushes down one of the WR and we leverage that into a trade down.
  20. That's not entirely true. He wanted out of Baltimore because he wanted to play LT, not RT. So if we play him at LT and pay him like an all-pro LT....there's no reason not to expect him to resign. But you can have that conversation with his agent prior to the trade too. I'll just repeat, especially given we all seem to think offensive line has been a persistent issue: moving down 13 spots and giving up some mid-round picks plus a hefty extension should scare away no one if we're talking about a 24 year old, all-pro level left tackle. I don't care what stage of the process we're in. Hell, most rebuilding teams start with a QB and a LT. I don't understand why anyone would prefer to pay MORE in draft capital to get an unproven lineman for this team.
  21. Did I miss a ban on resigning players? He would get a large extension to play LT for us. I'm perfectly fine paying an all-pro level tackle, at 24 years old, a fat extension to be on our team for quite some time. I can't think of anytime that would be a bad thing for a franchise to do.
  22. I would be quite happy to start a rebuild with a high end, 24 year old tackle and still pick in the first round.
  23. If the guy is an elite tackle....why do we care how much we have to pay him?
  24. All true and fair, he also was a ridiculously good pass blocker last year and the Vikings were kicking the tires. Which implies they do think he could play in their scheme.
  25. Yes, but what he wants is a chance to play LT and an extension. I think both of those would have been doable.
