    And they have what to show for it...a couple of choke jobs in NFC Championship games? NTM the game is different now, it's a QB driven league. The days of surrounding enough talent around a Brad Johnson or Cunningham are over.

    I hate UZR and most defensive metrics. When it doubt go to the eye test and my eye says Willingham is a brutal defender...but as long as he hits you can live with it.

    How the hell else go you get elite QB play then drafting them? Elite QB's don't hit the open market and the Farve's of the world just don't fall into a teams lap to play outta his mind for a season. The bottom line is top ranked QB's in the draft more often turn into elite QB's then the guys in the 2nd round and beyond. Yes the Brese and Brady of the world are always gonna exist and yes the Smith, Carr, Russel, Harrington of the world are always gonna exist...but the Mannings, Big Ben, Stafford, Ryan, Flacco, Rivers, Vick and gang of other early first round QB's says otherwise.

    Well you know if DickBert is ripping Nishi then it's supported by the team...so something tells me it's only a matter of time.

    It's Nishi if for nothing else that alot of those names were making league min or damn near close to it. Nishi has cost the Twins 15 million for some of the worst baseball I've ever seen.

    Then when they come back from surgery they'll have their toughness questioned by the teams front office and coaching staff (questioning will depend on the players service time)

    That's the worst logic I've ever heard not to draft a certain position. I don't care what the bust propobility is, if Andrew Luck, RG3, Newton, Bradford or whatever top ranking QB is on the board and you need one a QB...you take him.

    You forgot the player sitting on the active roster for 7-10 days, then atempting to pitch and getting rocked and then going on the DL.

    I would also like the Twins to come out and say something but JR would give you his first born before that happens. Is it odd that the Twins think a prospect is better off working with the AAA pitching coach over Rick Anderson the god of teaching sink?

    oH YEAH Liam...the teams top pitching prospect who's done nothing but pitch well at AAA. Should the Twins start him...no lets keep rolling out the rotting flesh of Duensing and ****ing Blackburn.

    I know the Twins are at the bottom of the barrel for starts, but is there really no one else that can come up and take either Blackburn or Duensing's place in the rotation.

    You should be rooting for Ponder to stay healthy and just suck as he more then likely will. If he gets hurt then the fron office is just gonna give him another season and a bunch of excuses. I'm rooting for Ponder to stay healthy, start all 16 and make Tarvaris look like Johnny U.

    Metrodome OPS .863 Target Field OPS .688 I don't know if it was the turf or whatever, but Metrodome Span was a 4 win player. I'd love to see that return.

    But I don't think he's gonna be a good 4-5 starter. When you have that small of a K-rate against AA hitters while not getting groundballs at a healthy clip then the ball is getting put in play way way too often. I see little to no chance of BJ having any kind of success unless he makes some drastic change to his arsenal of pitches.

    Yeah cause it's just so easy to luck into a Brady, Breese and Rogers.

    1. But if the call came down from the Pohlads to sign him cause it would increase revenue from Japan how were the Pohlads not involved? 3. Yu is/was the best pitcher to ever come outta Japan...EVER. You don't sign him a guy for a 100 to get some Yen.
