  1. Automatic suspension for hitting someone? Come on, Dick.
  2. We have now wasted at least three more pitchers than we would likely have needed to if we just kept Santana in there.
  3. At least Erv should be able to start again tomorrow after that paltry workload.
  4. Uh, why did they take out santana?
  5. interesting 2 days- Yesterday Fister gives up a leadoff HR and no other hits, tonight Hill gives up a walkoff HR and no other hits.
  6. Do statistics prove that attendance in these middle of the pack teams increases? Or doesn't fall off as much? I don't see a huge difference at Target Field and certainly no one cares in TB. I was just in Colorado for a series against another "contender" Milwaukee and it was not an impressive crowd on a Sunday.
  7. The thing that made 163s exciting to me was that you were fighting to break a tie in the standings. Having a 90 win team play one game against an 84 win team in absurd. It's just manufactured drama.
  8. So is last year the fluke or this year? They were "in it" til the end in '15 as well.
  9. Vargas touches home plate and immediately boards a plane back to Rochester.
  10. Completely different conversation but this is why I hate the 2nd wildcard (and the first). Completely flawed teams duking it out to play another game.
  11. I remembered Jorge but had to look up Wilk, Tepesch, and Melville (AND HE PITCHED YESTERDAY).
  12. I would say running the likes of Enns, Melville, Turley, Wilk, Tepesch, Jorge, Gee, and Slegers out there not to mention established garbage such as Hughes, Gibson, and Santiago is reason enough to wonder what could have been if they just had a competent pitching staff.
  13. No matter how much Dick talks about it I just cannot picture this team in the play-in game.
  14. Oh the wonders of ground ball pitch to contact pitchers.
  15. Gimenez for Dozier? This is going to be interesting.
  16. Duffey warming up with an eight run lead and Gee at 69 pitches.
  17. The so-called Wild Card game. Although if two teams have to battle it out to be the fifth team that will be great too. Real drama to determine who gets to play another game of manufactured drama.
  18. I can't wait until the play in game when we still have a 13 man pitching staff and a bench of Gimenez, Adrianza, and Escobar.
  19. That is 3 out of every 5 games for this team.
  20. Moncada fails to score as Garver staggers around for a bit.
  21. It just continues to defy all logic that the Twins can remain in postseason contention when they are running these guys out there time after time.
  22. I love watching the Aussie League during the winter and for obvious reasons, he always stood out to me... along with Team Kennelly and their band of juggernauts.
