  1. He's not alone. I remember saying that our collapse in Oakland where Cuddyer got thrown out at home on a WP would be a season ender and we still came back to force 163.
  2. He should go out in a blaze of swearing glory.
  3. And like clock work I start to regret my statement...
  4. I'd much rather have Liriano for whatever we end up paying him than whatever FA(s) we decide to pursue. I'll take his bad for his good over Blackburn's good and bad.
  5. He clearly dropped the ball, they figured it out without replay, watch the replay Dick and TK.
  6. That is literally four guys you can't depend on and possibly five depending on who our new "ace" is. I really don't see how that's any better than this year.
  7. http://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/washington-nationals-prospect-alex-meyer-makes-most-of-futures-game-appearance/2012/07/08/gJQAqsfHXW_story.html?wprss=rss_homepage Alex Meyer article regarding the Future's Game.
  8. Burton has been our best relief pitcher this season. Perkins WHIP is currently right where it was as a starter. It's above his career WHIP. He still can not be trusted.
  9. That about sums up our first half of the season.
  10. Even though he pitched a shutout inning this move is inexcusable. If you're going to take DeVries out it should have been for Burton or Perkins. This was like bringing Bass into one run game after one run game.
  11. 104 (now) SB is just a ridiculous figure. It might be more shocking than when the Babe suddenly exploded for 54 homeruns. That's how unheard of that statistic is.
  12. Naturally, he then proceeds to make an impressive play to end the inning.
  13. Any baseball player that wears glasses is a straight up pimp.
  14. I know Cruz has had some hamstring issues in the past but he was one of the laziest outfielders I've ever seen. And it's not just tonight or the World Series non-play either. He reminds me of Juan Rivera.
  15. If three of the four are very good and we have the same record as last year, I guess that proves that starting pitching is the most important aspect in baseball.
  16. Based off post 1991 history I'm very much convinced that Liriano would be better than any FA pitcher we might sign.
  17. He's essentially a less homer happy version of Bob Wells.
  18. Sean Bergman > Joe Mays > Nick Blackburn
  19. Good, I miss the Twins having 20 Aussies in their system at a time.
  20. OK, if you're a contending team why would you trade for him? About the only thing he has going for him is a cheap contract.
  21. There's just nothing special about Span that would make me want to give something up for him.
  22. Span is a dime a dozen. He's a good, not great CF that doesn't get on base, hits for no power, and no longer steals bases. If I was an opposing GM I would not be giving up anything considered valuable for him.
