  1. The one rule I have always wanted is that ALL players must go through the draft process. Teams being able to bid on foreign players that have never played for an MLB team is unfair to small market teams.
  2. I expect Boston to jump all over this. Hey, it worked before.
  3. I ruined my 1987 homer hanky with a Les Straker autogragh...........so yeah....Les Straker.
  4. I miss BYTO It should not be lost on the fact that since the death of BYTO, this team has sucked royally.
  5. I would like to see a complete house cleaning.
  6. http://cdn.instructables.com/FB0/VWB1/HELXCYO8/FB0VWB1HELXCYO8.MEDIUM.jpg
  7. I hope this is a sign of things to come. If we are going to lose, might as well lose with guys that are part of the future here. Neither of these stiffs qualify as part the future of this team.
  8. Definitely a struggle for me to stay positive. Probably the first year for me not seeing them live in 20 years. I live in Wisc. and since they only played two games in Milwaukee this year, and I don't think I want invest the time and money to road trip it to Minn., it's looking likely MLBTV is going to be my only viewing option for this year. They are young in a lot of spots, but they just are not fun to watch for me. I get bored pretty easily with this team and often find myself finding something more productive to do other than spending 3 hrs watching a game. It's hard to admit for me, but I am finding that a quick glance to the scoreboard online is enough to satisfy my Twins fix for the day. As a hardened Twins fan, I am not opposed to watching losing baseball, I've done it many many times over in my lifetime, but it's wearing thin with me for some reason lately. Oh well, hopefully the winning will return and all things will be good again.
  9. Hey we can't always have the type of bench that once included Brendan Harris and Matt Tolbert. Those were the glory days my friend.
  10. The first rule of Rally Monkey, is to not ask about Rally Monkey. Rally Monkey tells you everything you need to know.
  11. Brian Duensing is easily one of the top three left handed pitchers currently on the Twins active roster.
  12. I too am trying to come up with an explanation as to why the Twins are doing so well. When you look at the talent on this team, it is hard to explain why this team has the second best record in the AL. I can't really come up with an explanation, but in realty, I really don't need nor do a I really want an explanation. My Twins Baseball passion has been reignited and I am enjoying relevant baseball again. Will it hold up? I hope so, but if not, at least it was fun while it lasted.
  13. If they don't bunt because of some unwritten rule, where is the unwritten rule that says you shouldn't being doing these exaggerated shifts?
  14. I guess I'd rather see a guy stand there admiring his HR for a few seconds than what we are used to seeing with the Twins and that is a guy standing there in disbelief that he hit a homerun.
  15. If you have mlb.tv premium you have DVR function. Plus you can control which feed you want and you can access previous games. I take the monthly payment option so when the Twins are 20 games back I can cancel. I kid, I kid!, but not really. I use my roku box and stream the games to my tv in HD. Can't see paying for Extra Innings in my case.
  16. I miss watching a live baseball game on TV. I miss road tripping down to Milwaukee or Minn. to watch the Twins I miss the stress of a season coming down to a close race in September. I miss caring about baseball in general i cannot even tell you who is in the playoffs this year. I have not watched more than 15 Twins games in the last 3 years. Prior to that, I averaged a min of 100 games a year. I cannot name every player on the 25 man roster. My following of the team I have been a big fan of for 40 years consists of a 10 second glance in the newspaper box score or a score crawler on a sports channel. I have spent $0 on twins tickets or twins memorabilia in the last 3years. I will not watch a single inning of the MLB playoffs for the first time in 40 years. I miss baseball.
  17. By my count, the following 2013 All-Stars have spent time playing for the Twins. Mauer Perkins Ortiz Cuddyer Gomes Hardy Balfour Crain Nathan Hunter I don't know if I should be impressed or depressed
  18. Almost every franchise, if they are looking ahead to the 2016 season, can say about the same things this article is saying. They just insert their players where the Twins players are. I agree that things seem to be on the upswing with this franchise, but I don't know if I would be predicting a dominating team in 2016.
  19. Gardy's "MLB Managing For Dummies" book clearly states that your reliever is to only be used in save situations and can only pitch ONE inning.
  20. I am 100% confident that 100% of the three guys you mention will not be with the Twins at the end of the 2016 season.
  21. His strikeout rates are way to high for a Twins pitcher.
  22. ........Can we please end the Gardy era? Seriously, can we?
  23. After the Capps era, this is a big improvement.
