  1. Feel bad for you.... You actually bet on the wolves to win. Couldn't help myself...
  2. I read he claims to have felt good.... Strange. It seemed like he wasn't even in the gameplan.
  3. Brady was bad, but at least they moved the ball. After watching the super bowl, Brady should seriously think of retiring. He is already slowing down, and is another year worth it? He doesn't have much help on offense outside of Michel and Edelman. Money talks, but man.... 6 titles and 9 appearances might never be accomplished again. The NFL has turned the super bowl into a lifeless stageshow. No emotion. No atmosphere. Football was the afterthought. I enjoy the tradition of gathering with friends to watch, but man... What a waste of time. Commercials even sucked (my guess is many companies were priced out). Might be the worst super bowl I've ever watched.
  4. Horrible play calling by the Rams, and terrible play by Goff. Disappointing game all around. Edelman basically won the game by himself.
  5. Trump will be really mad about the bad press from caving. He will double down and force another shutdown. McConnell will not cross him and negotiate.
  6. Trump thought he'd be able to effectively blame the Democrats, he was wrong. Someone has to be feeding him some bad advice if he immediately caved after McConnell told him they were losing. Democrats should compromise. It makes sense to build the wall in some areas, and makes way more sense to fund other strategies that will help way more. Also, pay for it by fining the snot out of companies that employ illegals.
  7. They've been in control since 2010... Had democrats won back control, Obama care likely would have been amended and very popular by the time he was out of office.
  8. They were a loud voice in an empty space. Crying wolf once doesn't mean the second wolf isn't real. That argument doesn't hold weight with me. The Republican Senate refused to put a supreme court justice on the bench, shut down the government for over a month, decide who controls our court system, appoints very controversial cabinet members (Nervous how they react to appointees by a Democrat when the time comes). Is that not tyranny? cruel, unreasonable, or arbitrary use of power or control.
  9. Texas shifting blue will change this conversation a bit. I doubt the red state Democrat senators will last another election. In the current structure, the Senate is absolutely a tyranny. Just wait until democrats own the house and Whitehouse again. I'm not sure they'll win the Senate back unless things change. When Texas goes blue, Republicans will be in trouble with the electoral college. Things might start to change after that happens.
  10. Would you feel different if they were wearing a confederate flag hat? I think some have the same reaction to both, and some consider them both anti American. Obviously, MAGA doesn't hold the same weight as a confederate flag, and not all those that wear it are malicious. I don't see MAGA as a healthy conservative message, and my guess is most republicans don't either, they just don't have another choice right now. However, the problem lies in the group that is malicious. Whether the individual is our is not, choosing to wear it IS making a choice to align yourself with decisiveness. It would be like showing up at a swingers party and being upset when someone assumed you would sleep with them.
  11. I truly believe there is a destructive symbolism with the MAGA logo. I don't think it is the Confederate flag. I don't think everyone that wears it is evil. I do think some that wear it are extreme toxic individuals that find a happy place in MAGA.
  12. I'm not letting you get away with this. A MAGA hat has been a decisive symbol from the moment it was manufactured. That hat has political symbolism that cannot be disputed. It stood for Trump, which in turn, stood for racists, womanizers, xenophobics, and facists. That extreme demographic is who was supporting Trump, and continues to do so to this day. Comparing women or girls whom decide to wear short skirts with MAGA hat wearers is truly a demonstrative act. One is a choice to support an unpopular agenda, the other is clothes. How dare you equate the acts of scum rapists to those with a left wing ideology. You're wrong. I'm disgusted by it.
  13. They won't take a loss until payroll is over 150 million.
  14. I saw that and sighed. As a parent, I would be planning an educational trip to teach my kid all the horrible things we did to the native Americans. I would be thoroughly embarrassed.
  15. I like the ad. My right wing friends in Iowa hate it. Being a man is more than having the anatomy, and we should be setting the example for our boys.
  16. Imagine if healthcare wasn't for profit? I'm fine with doctors getting paid well, and even some pharmaceutical phd chemists that save lives. I'm not fine with multi million dollar salaries for hospital/pharmaceutical/insurance executives, numerous unneeded test/drugs/procedures, being at the mercy of others with barely any protection. Big health-care is failing.
  17. I'd love to shoot the **** and talk sports with W! His time with the Rangers, and easy access to all pro support owners.... I bet he'd be a riot!
  18. Minneapolis is a great city. I don't fault players for being snow birds, but there are plenty of reasons to enjoy the winter months. Ice fishing, ice skating, snowmobiling, skiing, etc. The weather argument is a cop out. People that don't like the weather in Minneapolis, won't like the weather in New York, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, Washington DC either. It is always about money. Always. The Twins have never been shot down by a big ticket free agent after giving the best offer.
  19. I'm all in on Machado. A big contact takes him through his prime years. Once Lewis is ready move Machado to third and Sano to first. If Javier is pushing to be in the bigs you trade him for a starting pitcher. Guys like this, as young as he is don't come available too often. Pull the trigger and this team is instantly better. Depending on how the year goes, a trade for an Ace at the deadline could be a difference maker.
  20. How much is Sano worth per year right now? How about Kepler? Buxton? It is one thing to talk about Rosario, who has at least performed to expectations. The others haven't, and might never put it together. Basing decisions on the possibility you'll have to pay other players more money on the future is a recipe for disaster. That is the garbage Terry Ryan spewed. Also, I'd rather have Machado than any other Twins player. That isn't really debatable right?
  21. 1000 burgers wouldn't fit on that table. Maybe it is actually 100 and he mistyped..
  22. I think so too. Rhodes might only have 2-3 more good years before he begins to decline. Or maybe he is able to play later because speed isn't what his game depends on. Either way, trade from a position of strength to improve areas that are causing the team to lose.
  23. I like Montgomery a bunch too, watched him a lot this year. I also really like Purdy... Iowa State is going to be pretty good in the coming years. Levi hit the nail on the head about TE. You don't need to pay a lot for that position when you have Diggs, Thielen and Cook that should be getting 75% of the touches. The other players are there to keep the defense honest and exploit holes created by those guys. Rudolph had more targets at the end of the year, but the dude is so slow his use is limited. I like the idea of trading a CB. Waynes isn't going to get as much as you think, and I'm hesitant to trade Rhodes because he can go man to man against all WR in the league and provide good coverage. He isn't perfect, but does a solid job. If the return is good, you make the trade since it is a strength. The biggest needs to me are o line, lb, d line.
