If they win tonight are all the troubles behind them?

    Very athletic catch.

I don't see how youth can be blamed for what we've seen this year. Maybe it's an easy excuse but that's all it is an excuse for failure. The reality, at least in my mind, is a lot of these guys just aren't consistently good. They can look good in a SSS but over time they can't maintain it. At this point these guys need to "prove it" and if they can't we are in for a long and sad period of at best mediocrity.

Not going to happen, imo. But if by some bolt of lightning hits Mr Pohlad he'll just promote someone already in the system which is presently a total failure, his words.

Trade anyone over 25 yrs old for anything you can get including baseballs and broken bats.

Lucky Asst GM Gardy didn't see that happen. Disaster waiting to happen doing that.

My God what happens now if we tie it up and Suzuki gets hurt in extra innings?
  8. Winston Smith
Terry sure put a nice team together this year.

Did anybody figure out what happened to Meyer?

I bet even Twins hitters could hit Hughes at this point. Well maybe not.
  11. Winston Smith
    That was quick!

This might as empty (fans) as Target field has been for a game.

That new Hughes contract for 3 yrs at 13+ mill starting next year looks like it could be Terry's worst yet.
  14. Winston Smith
You're better off not seeing it.

Don't forget that Dozier and Plouffe are on scholarship.
  16. Winston Smith
I'm guessing Terry would like to close the curtains on this season.
  17. Winston Smith
and Terry has a special baseball bat for the players that aren't dead yet!
  18. Winston Smith
    Are you sure?

Remember last year when Twins fans were making fun of the White Sox? TV guys stop complaining about the backup to the backup catcher because he isn't Johnny Bench. This guy isn't a ML catcher but he is playing and I assume doing his best. Whose fault is it we have crappy catchers?
  20. Winston Smith
Lots of potholes and cracked pavement. Needs a complete re-do.
  21. Winston Smith
    Making excuses?

Nice Wild got a decent coach. On that decent note, why did May pitch last night in a blowout?
  23. Winston Smith
Heard a lot of people commenting on him getting hot in Houston because he had 6 hits. 3 of those hits didn't leave the infield, one just made it over the SS head and the homer likely was a fly ball out in nearly any other park. Was he really hitting better or did he just run into a little luck?
  24. Winston Smith
I'm going to 2nd why is May in this game?

I wish a Twins pitcher would knock a hitter on their ass once in awhile. Couldn't type fast enough.
