Not viewing utility players as viable starters in the middle infield would be a good place to start.

It's $25 million more per team, per year, than the previous national media deals it's replacing. So yes, it's free money.
  3. snepp
Hmmmm, my post went in the mod queue. Anyway, I'm with with Chief, is there any good reason the bulk of that money can't go straight to payroll?

I like the way you think.

The only thing he can adequately throw these days are insults.

No one puts up Butera-like numbers.
  8. snepp
And he really had that arm on display in the playoffs. Those worms will never recover.

Drew Butera finished with a trifecta, yet again. Sub .200 batting average, to go along with sub .300 on-base and slugging percentages. That's three consecutive seasons. How many teams in history can claim awesomeness like this? While I would love to see a Brevor Plouscher platoon, there's no replacing the Harrischer.

There's nothing 20/20 about it. The Hardy deal was horse**** right from day 1, and it was widely panned as such. Besides, to reiterate, the GG has nothing to do with it. As already noted, it's just a dash of salt in an already gaping wound.

You weren't the only one, I drew a big 0-fer as well.
  18. snepp
He'd draw a walk to load the bases for Willingham.
  19. snepp
    Stop feeding him.

Now all they need to do is fix those archaic blackout restrictions for the other five bazillion games during the season.
  21. snepp
3 is probably 1 too many.
