  1. The idea of trading Correa was deluded nonsense all along.
  2. This past offseason, the Twins signed FA SS Carlos Correa to a 3-year/$105M deal, with player opt-outs after both the 2022 and 23 seasons. According to Phil Miller of the Star Tribune, the Twins have not initiated any conversation about an extension for Correa. According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, Correa was interested in signing a long term deal with the Twins back in April. It is decision time for the Twins. To trade Correa or not to trade Correa. If the Twins trade Correa, they could get a nice haul in return. If the Twins keep Correa, it could benefit them if they sign Correa to a long-term deal. However, they would also run the risk of losing Correa for nothing. Would you trade Correa? Why or why not? https://www.si.com/fannation/bringmethesports/.amp/twins/should-the-twins-trade-carlos-correa-or-risk-losing-him-for-nothing View full trade rumor
  3. Maybe, but nobody saw Boston beating Tampa Bay last year. Nobody saw Atlanta beating the Dodgers either.
  4. Bullpen help is a pressing need for our Minnesota Twins at this year’s trade deadline if they are to make it to the postseason and actually win when they get there. Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic lists off 10 pitchers that he believes could boost the Twins’ bullpen. https://theathletic.com/3389498/2022/06/30/twins-trade-deadline-relief-pitchers/?source=user_shared_article View full trade rumor
  5. The FO/organization will absolutely do something significant at the deadline. Guaranteed.
  6. Glad we pulled out the win. On to the White Sox. Let’s sweep those guys and roll into the break strong
  7. Buxton playing for $15M/year is a steal, more valuable for the success of the Twins than any of the things you listed.
  8. Now why would the Twins trade Buxton when he’s their best player?
  9. Goodbye Byron when they just signed him to a 7 year deal? The ****?
  10. I personally would go after Castillo. He’s a really good TOR starter and I think, like Sonny Gray, he would improve when pitching in Minnesota.
  11. If you want to win a World Series, you keep Correa no matter what the price is. It’s not often that a mid-market team like the Twins has the opportunity to sign a player of Correa’s caliber who is also a former World Champion.
  12. They scored 5 runs on Tuesday and 10 on Thursday…”continuing to be terrible” is inaccurate.
  13. Are you just trolling? You can’t wait to see our favorite baseball team lose?
  14. I feel like they could get something done with Correa. He’ll want a lot of years and a lot of money. It would be a risk, but sometimes you need to take risks. That being said I don’t see the Twins giving him a contract for more than 4-5 years, because the Twins seem to be averse typically to such deals. (The Buxton extension was 7 years, but that contract is very incentive-based) I would love to be proven wrong and see the Twins do it.
