  1. Joe about due to hit one out. He's been awfully close.
  2. He should be hot (which I'm sure is Brian's normal state) ..... watermelon should be icy cold. Like for group picnics when you put blocks of ice, watermelons, and water in a stock tank and let it chill!
  3. Suzuki still pretty hot .... ASG bid on the line.
  4. Never room to stuff it in the main fridge ... it always went in the basement or garage at our house. I have to say, though that the mixture of nightcrawlers with other things was a little disconcerting. And please don't tell me that you eat watermelon at room temp.
  5. Refreshments, watermelon and nightcrawlers ..... staples of all garage refrigerators.
  6. So new one for the house and older one to the garage? (Actually, I've seen this phenomenon before .... it's as if the ice and dirt were holding it together.)
  7. Rhett Bollinger ‏@RhettBollinger 9m Aaron Hicks hit from the left side yesterday. Said he's not comfortable hitting right-handed vs righties, Gardy said. Back to switch hitting Mike Berardino ‏@MikeBerardino 4m Gardy on Hicks: "It's his career. He's got to decide what's best for him."
  8. No longer in the cellar of the AL Central.
  9. Given his age, I would think that the Twins would want to make sure that he has the maturity to handle adversity should he encounter it at the next level. From everything I've heard about him, he does have that maturity but a little more seasoning before his next test may not be a bad thing. I think he is probably still on a pretty accelerated pace to move up -- although it may not be quite as accelerated as we would want.
  10. It meanders a bit but basically he said: 1. Not everyone who opposes pot smoking is a moron (points out his economics degree & law degree); and 2. Rosario was not treated the same for pot smoking (50 game suspension) as he would have been for robbing a string of convenience stores at gunpoint (prison). The response was no more out of place than the original comment to which he was responding. (And I will say that posting a personal email address on any site isn't the world's best idea).
  11. I thought it was last night? Pics on twitter. Plus: a Harmon Killebrew 1965 All-Star Game bobblehead presented by Pepsi (June 20) http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140214&content_id=67770930&vkey=pr_min&c_id=min
  12. I'm still tired from last night's game..... So let's finish this one now, boys!
  13. Well, we need a walk-off here .... cuz I don't want Ronnie G to have to tax his brain about another pitcher.
  14. I'm not liking this....
  15. Might be time to switch back to FSN.
  16. Well, Perk gets in 2 games in a row after being absent for a week.
  17. Well, diagnosis is an art not always a science. And some docs are more artful than others.
  18. Mr. Morales is not getting me many points in "pick the stick" this series. Hmmmm....
  19. My dad never made it that far so cherish every day. It is interesting to see all these 80 and 90 somethings. I live in a small town (pop. just a little over 600). This week we have both a 95-year birthday and a 99-year one.
  20. I'm sure you'll get a better diagnosis than the internet one! Good luck.
