  1. No biggie. I figured that. OTOH, I do wish all Summer Solstice babies a happy b-day!
  2. I'm in the minority w/you and switched from MSN to CSN when I read ChiTown's post.
  3. There are different types but for me, it is just a general stiffness in the joints (osteo arthritis) but rheumatoid is a whole different story. (And even what osteo arthritis I have is pretty mild).
  4. Thanks for the peek at a few of the kids in this program.
  5. Learn something new every day.
  6. I enjoyed the article and i like seeing Dozier get national press. Deserving of a berth in the ASG. Since it won't happen w/fan voting, here's hoping he's recognized by those within the game.
  7. LOL ... actually my favorite household task. If I do them "by hand" (i.e. not in a dishwasher), I find washing dishes very soothing plus I get incredibly clean fingernails. I will admit that I despise putting clean dishes away (maybe I need 2 D/W drawers. Use clean out of one and put dirty in other ... eliminate the need for cupboards). But anyway you look at it, I'd rather do dishes than clean the bathroom, vacuum, change sheets, dust, etc. etc. etc.
  8. It's going to be interesting to see how long Pino's "deceptive delivery" plays. Apparently he has great control and ball movement. "We didn't know too much about him," White Sox manager Robin Ventura said. "He's got a bit of an unusual delivery. It's deceptive, to make his off-speed stuff a little bit better. He doesn't throw that hard, but when you're watching it, it looks a little harder." http://www.kspr.com/sports/pinos-debut-worth-the-wait-as-twins-top-white-sox/21051914_26584228It'll be interesting to see what happens as teams get more film of him.
  9. I don't get caught up in (or argue about) the projections but thought I'd throw this article out here -- a blogger who believes Kyle Gibson is due for a big regression: http://calltothepen.com/2014/06/19/three-pitchers-overperforming-kyle-gibson-mark-buehrle-dallas-keuchel/ Anybody want to point out why he's wrong (or right)?
  10. Gee but it's great to be back home Home is where I want to be I've been on the road so long my friend And if you came along I know you couldn't disagree Way to start the homestand. And what a night to remember for Yohan Pino.
  11. Well, you Minny-sotans are watching one of your own on the mound ... unfortunately its for the White Sox.
  12. Before the game, Colabello tweeted to many of his Rochester teammates for the rain to go away b/c they wanted to see Yohan deal. I know there were those on TD who would have preferred to see someone else brought up ... but it's easy to overlook how great it must be for many of the journeymen in Rochester to see one of their own make his major league debut. Has to be an inspiration.
  13. No. 1 pick having a good debut: Mike Berardino ‏@MikeBerardino 2m Nick Gordon adds a 9th-inning double in his pro debut. Make it 3 for 5 with walk, 2 runs and a double for No. 5 overall draft pick.
  14. Now let's get him some immediate run support. Wouldn't that be a nice change???
  15. Kind of surprised they aren't letting Fryer catch him since they apparently worked well together at ROC.
  16. Are we sure he's 30??? Doesn't look a day over 25!
