  1. Perkins since July 18th- 10 IP 9 ER 18 H 4 HR Something is really amiss.
  2. A Sanders against Trump battle for the presidency would be one for the history books.
  3. If only there was a way to obtain other players for a team to play SS, perhaps through some sort of "trade" or "free agency" The Twins were 1.5 games out of the playoffs heading into tonight, there really is no reason why they shouldn't have still be trying to actively fix their holes at this point (SS, C, RP, PH) meanwhile, other than bringing in Jepsen, they haven't done a single thing.
  4. Yeah, Gibson was pretty awful tonight. Every batter seemed to have it 2-0,3-0 or 3-1 at some point tonight.
  5. Gibson has now given up 5+ ER in 4 of his last 6 starts, consistency seems to be a real issue again.
  6. I'd much rather sign AJ as a temp stop gap at Catcher and figure out a way to trade Nolasco (or Santana) for Shields. Obviously you have to give up more to get Shields in that situation, but if you trade a guy outside of the top 6-8, I am ok with that.
  7. The SB situation is now a disaster overall, couple that with the pick offs and the Twins are by FAR the worst team in the bigs in base running in those departments. Add in the bizarre amounts of bunts the twins call in the early innings and it's clear Molitor is much more "old school" than Gardy and it isn't working.
  8. aka the story of the 2015 Minnesota Twins bench.
  9. By no means do I think Perkins is the only or biggest reason why The Twins have struggled and been the worst team record wise since the all star break. But I think he deserves a solid chunk of the concern/blame, for better or worse he is the "veteran" on the twins entire pitching staff period (when it comes to years spent with the Twins) and is only behind Mauer and Hunter overall. He isn't the worst player since the break by any means, but I will be damned if he hasn't been the most frustrating.
  10. Even if he didn't, he has been in the league 5 years or so now, there is zero excuse for that sort of brain "fart" (for lack of a better word), yes with the bobble the guy prob scores 99 out of a 100 times anyways, but you still have to at least try to throw home in case of something going amiss? Right!!?!? Or at least put u in your pocket and don't randomly throw to first.
  11. The fact is: that play was terrible, if that happens in a playoff game etc that goes right up there with Buckner. The Twins inability to address SS seemingly anytime the past 30 years successfully more than a stop gap or two is widely up for debate. In no scenario IMO should Nunez even be in the INF in that situation.
  12. oh, I have been saying it all year. He has no biz being on this roster
  13. well that, ****ty managing and an embarrassing bullpen
  14. That was the dumbest play I have seen in my life.
  15. your random obsession with me is adorable
  16. And he might be the dumbest player in the majors. Throwing to first, zero outs, bases loaded, bottom of 10th. Rebuttals?
  17. Time to call a spade a spade, he has not looked good since the all star break. He is one of my favorite players but the fact remains, he is a huge reason why the Twins now trail in the playoff run. Time to shop him?
  18. When do we start to get concerned about Perk? If he cuts his blown saves and losses in half this second half a lone the Twins are still in a playoff spot
  19. seems to be the theme of 2015 in general in regards to May.
  20. Apparently the Yanks Bullpen is done at this point. Miller can maybe go one more inning and then perhaps it's Sabathia time.
  21. Jepsen is solid, it's the rest of the bullpen not named Perkins I worry about. I'd bring him back out for the 10th if it's still tield for sure. Then Perk for 11/12, then pray for rain?
  22. Good work Jepsen! Now just to PH Vargas for Suzuki and we can end this game soon! Oops
  23. I know Perk isn't a LOOGY but would it not make sense to bring him In here?
  24. LLR due up against Jepsen. Uh oh.
  25. Jepsen- extend this game maybe (please!!!!!)
