  1. I wasn't counting on another Perkins implosion Please stick to the topic at hand, per Twinsdaily rules.
  2. Until Molitor manages to win a division 5 times in 8 years he won't be as "good" as the guy who came bfore him. Hell, if he manages to win a division once in the next two years I will conceed he is "good" but until that comes? He has a lot to prove, and frankly, he didn't look the part this year. I give him a C at best. If he would learn how to manage a pen and stop with his obessesion of bunting, I would think about giving him a B.
  3. Not to mention the actual chances someone dies from a gunshot versus a "punch" "stab" "hit" are significantly higher. I am no physics major nor a doctor but I am quite confident my friend would stlil be alive today if the the would have thrown a knife or baseball bat into the crowd instead of shooting into it wildly. These "Well they will just kill them with something else" arguments have been floating around forever.
  4. Nobody in this thread, nor anybody in congress (or Obama) or really any rational person is saying that people can't have legal access to firearms, so perhaps let's stop with the extreme rhetoric for a second and have an adult conversation?
  5. If Jepsen pulled his groin, there is no way the Twins next two games are 50/50
  6. With the 2015 season all but over, might as well look forward to 2016, put together your 25 man roster on opening day next year. Please describe any trades etc that were made as well. 1. Hicks RF 2. Mauer 1B 3. Sano 3B 4. Dozier 2B 5. Vargas DH 6. Rosario LF 7. Wieters C 8. Escobar SS 9. Buxton CF Bench: Arcia Suzuki Robinson Santana Rotation: James Shields Ervin Santana Tyler Duffey Phil Hughes Trevor May Pen: CL: Jepsen SU: Perkins SU:Benoit LOOGY: ORourke LOOGY: Cotts MRP: Tonkin MRP: Whoever Trades/Acqusitions etc: Sign Wieters 2 year, 22 mil deal. Trade Plouffe for a high upside SP prospect. Trade Nolasco+Gibson+Polanco+PTBNL for Benoit and James Shields Notes: Berrios up sometime in June. Kepler up sometime in June or July.
  7. No point, Ryan aparently isn't a fan of buying out free agent years anyways, he'd much rather just guarantee the arb years for some bizzarre reason.
  8. Early 2015 form is damn near impossible, he was beyond lights out. I hope when he is healthy he can get back close to "normal" though. I have faith, he has pitched poorly as of late but I am confident its 100% due to injury.
  9. 3 outs left in the season. Plouffe (who will be PR for ASAP) Rosario Hunter (who will be PR for) then Santana PH for suzuki
  10. My dog could have managed Sano to "hit it a long ways" When it came to the bullpen? Might as well have just drawn a name out of the hat all season (not all molitors fault, mostly Ryan's, but still his bullpen choices left a lot to be desired)
  11. I did actually. I said 85-88 wins, anything less than a playoff berth would be a dissapointment. And, here we are. At least I won a nice amount of cash on the over/under for the season.
  12. Yeah, true. Add that to the list of "puzzling" bullpen choices all year.
  13. Yeah, I still would have went Cotts OR May over Perkins in that spot. He is clearly, clearly, not himself.
  14. He is under team control for 2016, so there is pretty much 100% chance he is back next year.
  15. Good point, why not put in Cotts there? Perkins has been...um...unreliable at best the past few months.
  16. The only question that remains now is: Who will Moltior PH Danny Santana for in the 9th
  17. 100% The Twins have gotten muredered in the SB catergory this year, can't throw anyone out, can't steal a base.
  18. May is the Twins "set up" guy at this point, if you aren't going to goto him in a tie game in the 8th in a MUST win game, when do you goto him?
  19. I miss the old "clutch" Dozier he was much more fun to watch then "hit below the mendoza line from August on Dozeir"
  20. Perkins isn't good against lefties though! He actually is better against righties, this isn't rocket science!
  21. Ryan was the reason why that team lost 90 or more games in 4 straight seasons... One playoff series win in 17 years. One.
  22. What critics? Finishing 7th out of 15 teams in the AL is not some great achievement FYI.
  23. Well that was a waste of 5 months. Ryan, time to step down. At least they got the inevitable Minnesota let down out of the way early in the weekend. Go Vikings. Go Wild. Fire Ryan. Get well soon Flip!
