Yeah, I do the thirty minute rule, allow yourself to be mad/dissapointed for 30 minutes then basically move on (note: you can still bitch about things after said 30 minutes though) of course some things like Vikings NFC championship games need a bit more than 30 minutes (30 years is closer to it) I also just saw a deranged woman try to stab a guy in penn station with a fork, all because he had the audacity to be "Muslim", so it's a quick reminder there are very real problems going on and that the twins missing the opportunity to get destroyed in the wild card against the Yankees isn't a huge deal. So hey, **** it, it was at least a fun month of baseball. Twins better have their eye on winning 90 next year though.
I might have it on in the background, lots of good football on tomorrow and a HUGE elimination race for NASCAR. Also I probably will need to put a minute or two of FaceTime in with the signicant other and her family
Yeah, SS, 2B, 3B, closer, back end rotation and LF/CF I am not worried about at all for 2016. At least at this point, I wouldn't try to upgrade any of them until: bullpen, catcher, front end starter? Are addressed.
Bullpen did their part to blow it, but scoring two runs in 2 must win games doesn't help. This series feels awfully similar to the season opening series. Oh well. Hopefully enough changes are made so the twins can compete in 2016
Very appropriate the twins lose the elimination game to a crappy bullpen that Ryan failed to address, compounded by a manager who has zero clue how to manage said bullpen. Hopefully the Twins can get a real GM in here and make a run, I would hate to see Ryan and his conservative incompetence waste Sano and Buxtons careers just like he has wasted Mauer, Morneau and Johhan Santana's Time to go Terry, time to go.
Yeah of course. He has basically taken the "Stuff happens" Jeb Bush approach to this IMO, but at least he gave one idea that could potentially help a little bit.
He's solid, shouldn't be blocking guys like Duffey and Berrios when it comes down to it, but he is some real nice affordable depth and a nice piece if he is your #5.
I'm not saying its the only thing to do, it's just one piece of the puzzle IMO As I have mentioned, I would be registry lists, longer waiting periods and stronger background checks off the bat. (No more "gun show" or "internet" sales either)
For all the talk of Plouffe taking a step forward this year...his numbers besides home runs are down across the board from 2014. Dissapointing at bat by him there.
They look lazy and tired all over the place today. That Hicks "walk" was a perfect example, how the hell do you not know the count in that situation? This isn't the dog days of summer with your team 15 games back, "this isn't detroit, this is the super bowl man!"
It did wonders for Tobacco, I don't agree with everything Lev has said, but I think a nationwide ad campaign would be great, it won't fix the problem right away, but will help as generations grow etc.
In that scenario the Twins really really really need for Texas to win today's game. If Angels win and Astros lose today, Texas clinches the west, which means they will bench everyone for tomorrows game. First things first, lets get some runs here!
