  1. Eddie Rosario tries to pull a fast one on the Twins FO http://i67.tinypic.com/14jxgk5.jpg
  2. WINNAH!
  3. bankruptcy laws exist for businesses..... If you raise the minimum wage to $10, and you are a business owner and you can't make it work, then you should go out of business.
  4. What the hell are you talking about?
  5. Agreed. $15 works for places like LA, Seattle, NYC, Chicago, but probably wont work in Duluth, however I think there should be a national minimum wage somewhere around $10-11an hour, from there it's up to the states/cities to decide if they want to increase at all.
  6. What reality are you living in where you think this is the case? A large number of congressman in his own party dislike Cruz and hate working with him. Plenty of conservatives overall dislike him, as well as independents and "non socialist" democrats. I know politics bring out a lot of opinions, which is fine, but let's cool it on the over generalizations across the board, that accomplishes nothing.
  7. Going to the Clips T Pups game tonight, I look forward to the 30 points thrashing that is sure to come.
  8. Boyer is a useful depth piece when used correctly, so if this guy ends up like Boyer that is a good thing IMO (can never have enough arms) Unfortunately, the Twins used Boyer in a number of "wrong" situations that cost them every important games, however if they would have used him as a mop up guy for a couple months, they would have gotten the same amount of "value" out of him.
  9. I'm just not a fan of telling people what to do with their money.
  10. Fair enough, it should be the winners choice though. Forcing people to donate to a cause they may not even support is too much IMO. Oh well, not the league for me.
  11. Can't wait for Quentin to hit like .300 in spring training against a bunch of bums, make the roster over Arcia or Santana and then inevitably be released by May 1st.
  12. We Got Him!!!!! If there is one thing the Twins lack it is DH/Below Average Defensive Corner OF types.
  13. As a Hildawg "supporter" for now, I think its good for her to have some spirited debates with Sanders moving forward, I hope it moves her a bit further left on some social issues (I think she has to stay where she is on financial issues in order to win the GE)
  14. I thought you said you weren't reading this thread any more? Also, using some website that looks like it was made in 1996 doesn't give me much reason to even dive into what it is trying to say (in its terrible, terrible layout)
  15. What? If Hilary wins the nomination she is clearly the most "progressive liberal" among the Dem nominations in like 20 years..... I know Bernie's supporters (not so much Bernie) try to make her out to be some extreme moderate, that just isn't the case at all.
  16. This is why I like Daily a bit more then season long personally. Makes you get really pumped when you have a player who hits a couple bombs and 6-7 RBI. In season long its like "oh, that was cool, but doesn't effect much"
  17. It's not. Why not just put a few bucks in and let the winner choose what they do with the money? It's perfectly legal. (Other than in Illinois) And frankly I would rather the $200 (or whatever the person wins) goes to them and their spouse for a nice dinner, or to their kids for a nice toy, rather than what is essentially nothing to a charity (and it keeps people more involved when they can actually WIN something for them, whether it's their child's college fund, a new TV, or a bottle of wine)
  18. Also before people try to claim Rubio is a moderate, keep in mind that is only bc he is "moderate" when you compare him to Cruz. Other than immigration, Rubio has been a Tea Party hero (Against Abortion period, even in cases of Rape and incest, For Tougher Drug Laws, Against Gay Rights, Against Women's rights, Denies Climate Change, and against Net Neutrality)
  19. Last two "winners" of Iowa for the GOP Santorum Huckabee How did those two campaigns turn out again? Rubio was the CLEAR winner of tonight, followed by Sanders (Again, Sanders is going to get in a lot of trouble when 95% of the voters aren't white, but its still closer than many thought it would be) The losers were: Trump Paul Kasich Clinton (Just a bit) Paul and Kasich are just way to far back to be considered legit anymore. Which is unfortunate because both seemed like the most reasonable. The whole "Iowa followed by NH" bit is just so stupid at this point, I think you are talking about two states that are like >90% Caucasian (plus education rates etc that don't mesh with overall USA demo)
  20. I don't think it helped him, but I don't think it hurt him much. I'm actually relieved that iowa basically went against Trump.
  21. I think the increased voter turnout helped Rubio the most. Those extra people who turned out were like "Oh ****, we can't put up Cruz or Trump here!"
  22. Sano shouldn't bat cleanup. He should bat third. With someone like Dozier in front of him. (And whoever hits the best out of Park, Arcia, Arcia etc behind/in front) Sano should come up in the first inning of every single game
  23. Cruz is going to win Iowa, Trump is on the way out. Guessing Rubio is a near lock for the nomination at this point.
  24. Again, if you read my original post its assuming that Bruce could get back to his earlier numbers. Also, the Twins have Arcia far far far down in the doghouse, if he struggles for a month, would anybody be shocked if they gave his job away to the next Schafer or Danny Santana etc?
  25. Rosario for Bruce? Absolutely not. You shouldn't have to give up a top 10 prospect to get him anyways. The Reds are in complete rebuild mode, it benefits them to trade Bruce ASAP and give the youngsters a shot, I think the Twins could get him for 2-3 C+ type prospects.
