    Sure, in theory that sounds nice. But in reality the guy hasn't been a full time catcher for several years now, and might not be again anytime soon. Plus, he's not hitting either. So until either one of those things starts happening, it looks like the Twins are paying a lot of money for a DH who is pretty good at drawing walks.

    Considering the size of the payroll, this might just be the worst professional baseball team ever assembled.

    This is the right move by the Twins. They had given Valencia more than enough opportunities and he just wasn't getting it done. Hopefully he can make the most of this by making some adjustments and getting his confidence back. Maloney, on the other hand, had no business being on a big league roster in the first place.

    Butera is Minnesota's best player tonight. This is depressing.

    Span's been the lone bright spot this season. I think he's allowed a bad game here and there.

    I think he meant that he's baffled by the fact that Smalley and Parker are noticing things that people within the organization (Joe Vavra) are apparently missing.

    Haha yep, that's a good way of putting it. This team has turned losing games into an art form.

    Dozier made a nice first impression tonight. He seems to have good discipline at the plate and a nice, level swing. Hopefully he can provide a little bit of a spark for a lineup in desperate need of one.
