  1. Great play by Carroll to finish of a very quick inning for Walters. Nicely done.
  2. Wow, I have no idea what a fielder has to do to be charged with an error. Dropping a routine, soft line drive sure doesn't do it.
  3. It sounds like Span is battling the flu...hopefully he's back tomorrow. Also, Mauer took BP today and could be available to pinch hit.
  4. Not pinch-running for Willingham.....I don't get it.
  5. Judging by this game, Bruce Chen is a dominating, Cy Young Award candidate.
  6. Bruce Chen's pickoff move is about as close as a pitcher can get to balking, without actually balking. Some of those are pretty borderline.
  7. What the hell was that, Butera?
  8. I see Liriano is sticking with his strategy of walking the leadoff hitter. Let's see if it works out for him.
  9. DeVries has been far from dominant and will eventually get pummeled by big league hitters, but so far he's gotten the job done much better than some of the other guys the Twins have run out there. So as long as he's somewhat effective, I'd keep him around.
  10. I send him out there, especially with a 4 run lead.
  11. I will give him credit for throwing strikes and getting 3 quick outs, but you have to admit that the Royals hit the ball very hard that inning.
  12. Wow, Royals are hitting line drives right at the Twins fielders. Hopefully his luck can continue...
  13. I agree. He probably has no real future with the team, but right now he's the best they can do.
  14. Morneau crushes one. That was a no-doubter.
  15. The few times DeVries keeps the ball in the infield, the Twins fielders can't make a routine play. Embarrassing..
  16. Willingham gets things started with a 2-run bomb. Twins offense needs to put up a big number tonight.
  17. I would rather see him rest a couple days rather than rush back and injure the thumb even more. But you're right, I think he is out to prove he's more durable this year.
  18. Oh yeah, I guess it says "Beverly Hills" right there on your location. Hopefully the Twins can tack on a run or two. No lead ever feels safe this season.
  19. I'm actually following the game online as well.....I usually watch the games on MLB.com, but it's blacked out today for some reason. I live just north of Seattle. What part of California do you live in?
  20. Wait, tomorrow's game has the unusual start time, not today's. Disregard my previous post...I'm still getting use to living in the Pacific Time Zone.
  21. I just started watching. Weird start time kind of threw me off. Nice to see Mauer hit one out.....although it would be even nicer to see a Twins starter get through 5 complete innings every once in a while.
  22. He's off the hook now, as Seattle just got its second hit of the game. Santana just finished off his no-hitter though, and while the team was celebrating at the pitcher's mound, a fan ran out and was tackled by two security guards a few feet away.
  23. Jake Peavy had a no-hitter going in Chicago, but Pierzynski dropped a popup in front of home plate in the 5th and the score keeper inexplicably scored it a hit.
  24. I agree. Unless he's on a limited pitch count, why not keep him out there for another inning or two and save at least one arm in the bullpen? It probably doesn't make a difference if the score if 7-0 or 12-0, the Twins can't score off of Derek Lowe anyway. And if he is hurt, put him on the DL. Having him start when he's not healthy isn't doing anyone any good.
