    From what I read in your descriptions, it sounds like Joe should go through the concussion protocol now, and try to head off any possibly worse side effects. And this isn't because I'm trying to get rid of him; there may be a subtle effect going on here that affects both vision and decision-making. Wonder if any of the MD's on the site would give some thoughts, with us understanding they would be at best speculative?

    Nothing. I will continue to enjoy the successes and failures of the teams I like, but they're sure as heck not my life. Now if it was to be on the first manned mission to Mars, otoh, then my interest would be piqued.
