  1. To second on defensive inattention. He's a ballplayer.
  2. I like Cheslor Cuthbert because his name is epic.
  3. I don't think the umpires will let Molitor do that.
  4. Castro's throw to second is nice to see.
  5. Topic? Don't talk about... topic. You kiddin' me? Topic? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3-eavMSBnk
  6. When never you want me, I'll be there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfG47NsWVYA / And when never your phone don't ring, it'll be me.
  7. Nil-lateral leg weakness.
  8. Did you by chance have any strong reactions to it?
  9. I, for one, would not, nor would I call him "Fred" or "Gertrude", since his birth certificate is listed as "Willie Howard Mays".
  10. The eye test has me leaning toward #2, although admittedly that is also SSS.
  11. It's known that the home team has a small long-term advantage in run-scoring. Less well-known is that almost all of this advantage occurs in the first inning - after the first, home and road teams play pretty much to a draw. Various theories as to why. FWIW.
  12. Games Threads on pace for 120,366 posts.
  13. The hard part is winning the other 161.
  14. Jason Castro: great signing, or greatest signing?
  15. Royals pitch carefully with the bases loaded, because, you know, one bad pitch could clear the bases. Instead, 3 runs in anyway. And then a base hit, or two, after all that care.
  16. The score after 5 is 1-1, and nobody's winning. This has been your BBU. / Birthday Boy Update, natch. If somebody already did one of these, well, I'm not wading through 22 pages just to be original
  17. Time for a Buxton Bingle, where he winds up on third. / OK, my feed still has his at-bat in progress. I will resign myself to being ninja'd every time.
  18. http://cdn.attackofthecute.com/June-23-2012-14-31-17-uefit.jpeg Giddy? Yup.
  19. Tuned in just in time to say: SANO!!!! And I don't really care if I got ninja'd.
  20. Kudos to Brian. He outdood himself on this one.
  21. In honor of Opening Day, here is a fun video I ran across on Facebook. (It's a car ad, but I hope you don't mind.) https://www.facebook.com/Jrockradio/videos/799595993460938/
  22. My suggestion, a hybrid between the draft-players solution and someone-be-in charge-of-an-entire-team. 4 people volunteer as stalwarts (goulik and 3 others?) to be in charge of each of the 4 minor league teams that play in April: Rochester, Chattanooga, Ft Myers. and Cedar Rapids. Open up all players for these teams to a draft, for whoever wants them, as done in past years (after a day, another round of drafting if people want 2 or more). Any players not drafted, the 4 stalwarts maintain rudimentary pages for, and also monitor the players who were drafted. After the June draft, we figure out something similar for E-town and GCL.I want to see something happen! It needs buy-in from Seth, however.
