  1. See, that's where the quick back-of-the-envelope calculation starts to fail and can mislead. You're counting down the list of pitchers who pitch enough innings in a given year, but there aren't that many to round out all the rotations. There's other problems as well, but that one stands out.
  2. By this you mean someone the Twins will keep trying/grooming as a MLB starter over the course of several seasons before giving up and at least getting some value out of him?
  3. I'm always skeptical of PCL batting stats versus their IL counterparts, that is to say I deduct a little more when thinking about how a mature player might do in the majors, and Albuquerque in particular I think of as aided by thin air. That plus 2013 being something of an outlier in his total resume, and him coming down to earth a bit in his 100 PA this year, and I'm not looking at this as too much of a missed opportunity. Something in the Alex Presley and Darin Mastroianni spectrum (different skill sets of course).
  4. Colabello, advanced in age but with little experience in organized ball, is a fair comp for approximately 0.000000001% of ballplayers.
  5. Then knocked him right back out again.
  6. I take it they must be good, then? They advertise in airline magazines so I have steered clear.
  7. I suspect the team moderator will issue an infraction of some sort, as well.
  8. I heard somewhere that he makes $23 million a year. If true, this would have some bearing on back spasms.
  9. Maybe they like your cooking too much to make an issue of anything right then.
  10. At least firing people isn't passive.
  11. I trust everyone else is joining me in sullenly withholding a "Like" on this one.
  12. May the 4th be with him. / acknowledgement to crarko for post #2

  20. You were able to bargain them down from the usual 25 cent increments?
  21. By millennium, you are suggesting an over-under for when they collectively reach OPS 1.000?
