No worries though. Fien's got this.

I've done that before in RF. So, you're telling me there's a chance I can make it to the big leagues.

Good thing that wasn't with 2 outs or the runner would have scored. No worries though. Fien's got this.
  7. ashbury
I don't believe that's the aspect that's ever been in dispute.

    Fien's got this.
  9. ashbury
Did you teach him that language?

It's not just the blasts to the outfield track that excite Bremer. "LINER TOOOOO... kinsler."
  11. ashbury
Only a chance though. He has to be as good as me in my prime.

Is that Brunansky hollering "so long Mauer" in the background? He does like to shout encouragement to whoever's at bat.
  13. ashbury
    I resemble that remark.

Hoo boy. I just got back to the thread, and now I see I'd better depart before things get toxic here.

Got pulled away from the game for a while. I see Florimon made it to second base in the 8th inning, I presume he's having a good game?

I read some of the books and watched most of the TV series. Are you sure you didn't make that part up?
  17. ashbury
I reviewed the game thread before coming up to speed on the PBP. You had me hoping, with this wording.
  18. ashbury
I saw news reports about the first part but nothing about the second. Are you sure you didn't make that part up?

Thank goodness. Neither Florimon nor Romero can contribute to a winning team, and are emergency backups at best; much as how Florimon's glove can not make up for his bat, Romero's bat can not make up for the glove. Florimon, however, creates no 40-man issues at present.

The player with the stone glove? #trickquestion?

OK, gotta depart. I'll check back to enjoy the details of the big ninth-inning comeback and save by Perk.

And May or Meyer in five days?
  23. ashbury
I brought up Fien's apparent ability to disguise his delivery so that his breaking pitches are effective. Is Deduno tipping his pitches? That curveball or whatever it was that Martinez hit out didn't look that bad to me - he just went down and got it.

If Ausmus was smart he wouldn't have asked for the replay, to give the bullpen less time to warm up.

Seen enough, Gardy? Cuz I have.
