I hope so. But the inability to recognize breaking pitches down was there in spring training on the back fields as well. Still climbing that learning curve.

You may have put your finger on why the Saints draw so few Canadians through the turnstiles. They need to make their advertising less parochial.

They seem to acquire talent by all available means. This Martinez fellow came to them when they outbid other teams, when his FA contract to another team, out of the Dominican Republic, was voided for reasons I don't recall.

If there is a poll for most suburban metro area, Salt Lake City has my vote. Midvale is just one of a sequence of indistinguishable jurisdictions south of the center of the city. Maybe your explanation is why.

Checking in briefly, from beautiful downtown Midvale Utah. AshburySteven sends his best regards. I haven't seen any Circus Boy Updates. 1-0 Cards, end of two?

I don't know and I'd have to ask the coach making such decisions what his rationale was. But with fewer games per week and fewer weeks per season, it's possible that a pitcher who isn't a good starting candidate for the pros might get the nod over a stronger long-term prospect. Probably the coach has indeed said something and I missed the mention of it.

A difference in how the schedule places demands on the workload?

Exactly what I told Letterman, the second time I was on his show - most humblebrags are done inexpertly and merely tick off the listener.
