How is it that the pitcher with the 'worst stuff' (not my evaluation, but seemingly team/media's view).....can be the only one who can seemingly pitch to this Rangers lineup???

Anybody think that MN could skip Kennys over Ft Myers next yr?? .305/.415/.627 10HRs over first 32gms in BEL is better than Sano's first 32......yes I know the age diffence is 3 yrs but this is GREAT production. There is no one in Ft Myers now (AA next yr) that really looks to be a 1B for future so a spot is open. If MN wants to move Sano/Harrison soon to 1B, they (Kennys & whoever moves) would block each other....so would they try & get him a level higher up. At least, think if he's comes out of block fast in Ft Myers (hitting there is always a big if tho)....would he get a faster than usual promotion. Several of you guys saw him in BEL live, what's his glove like?? Is he a legit fielder or a future DH type??

Jeremy's site roster lists Tosoni as FA after 13' but I think he is also (didnt play first yr...visa issues??). Cole DeVries is on 40 man roster, so there isnt any FAgency....yet Romero, yup agree, but assuming MN will resign him. Dink/Rivera also 6yr FA's as is Clete (he is gone) as he see's writing on wall. I assume they will sign some FA's also, but where do they fit??? Carson especially since he's on 40 man (for time bein). Some of these guys I project to AAA (Roberts/Benson/Tosoni/Hermann for ex) have been in AA a couple yrs already

Any thoughts on the 23yr old middle fielder for BEL?? Drafted in 33rd round out of Florida Gulf Coast after hitting .280 as a senior doesnt seem like much. Looking deeper, he hit .359 as a junior & .356 as a soph, playing fulltime. If you're not familar with the league, it's where Twins prospect Adam Walker, Sox pitcher Chris Sale, TOR's #1 SP (20th--09) Chad Jenkin, COL #1 SP (34th-09) Rex Brothers came out of, among others.....so there is good competition. Last yr with GCL, hit .245/.370/.340 in 106ABs.....nothing to be excited about This yr with ELIZ, hit .424/.500/.606 in 33ABs/10gms....promoted to BEL July 7th In BEL, 40gms 137ABs .314/.444/.409 24runs 10doubles HR 20rbi 21k 25bb 6/10sb's About/just behind where 4yr college player Brian Dozier was at this point. With Polanco/Goodrum/Pimento due in BEL next yr, would assume he would start in Ft Myers next yr.

Arcia was battling an 0-21 stretch before a 2 out 9th inning grand slam to tie the game......clutch!!!! Got a little bit of streakiness to him.....1-21 from July 28-Aug 4th but immediately followed that with a 26-56 (.464) during a 16 gm hitting streak before the 0-21

Many claim they did a great job with 6yr FA's...not one of em myself. Problem I see is there is plenty of players set for AAA, but the AA roster could be iffy (not much @ Ft Myers). Will AA players be held back (again), as its easier to find FA's to go to AAA than AA?? not problem on Scott....but if the suspension was upheld, it could've had a great effect on MN. Probably Emeril Vasquez will come up for a SAT start & push Cole/Liam back a day or start Esmeril on 6 days rest next SUN. It will be Sept 2nd, so no corresponding move will have to be made either day

long rain delay where Cole cannot come back would be great to see. Want to see how gardy/andy handle it.

are some parallels for sure but Plouffe has shown solid power (ISO of .191 vs Danny's .133). At least there is something to 'hang your hat' on with trevor. If he doesnt stick at 3B, he's shown the ability to play other positions, something Danny didnt.

LaRussa----may be a prick, but 3 world series appearances in last 8 yrs makes gardy look little league. Same with 'whats his name'.....take NFC championship over what the purple have now/before

Excellent choice.....love the way Tampa/Maddon play the game & get the most out of their players. Not that Gardy wouldnt be picked up right away as he is a respected manager, but even Joe Torre was let go. There comes a time when a change of scenery is needed as players tune out a guy. Gardy has been here 20yrs with 10 as a mgr. I would love a new guy in charge. IF Gardy stays....his contract is up after nxt yr so he either needs to be extended/let go this offseason IMO...then the changes to the coaching staff for that same change of scenery/new eyes approach

the 12m average for Lester is alot better than giving EJackson, ASanchez, etc 9/11m IMO. Not the worst contract for a starter with his history

IF Boston was goin for prospects & building from within....would they consider Lester for Parmellee (dont have a 1B ready...Lars Anderson a disappointment)/Benson/Hendriks???? 3 ready made players that may not have a future in MN (convinced MN isnt high on Benson/Hendriks) & save em 20+m. MN doesnt break up its everyday core players to get a top of rotation guy (didnt say ace tho)

Im as big a negative Gray guy as there is, but they wont do anything to him IMO.....tho if Walters is activated & Hicks is called up (TR is hinting that strongly), they will need another roster spot. Would think they would just send Waldrop back down.

with another Duening short start.....MN may not be able to go to pen for Diamonds start on TUE. Think that could be Vazquez' start if he doesnt pitch tomorrow (his scheduled start)

Hope Esmeril Vazquez is up soon so Duening can finally go back to the pen permanently. MN is weakening both the pen/rotation by having him start because they didnt think they had any other choice. Taking him out of pen/losing Capps made the pen vulnerable & made Burnett/Robertson have to move later in the game. Huge ripple effect.

My frustration is, what I posted a bit earlier, the unnecessary repeat years and being blocked/passed over by an inferior player. Granted, this year they jumped BJ Hermsen extremely quick & it proved to be correct. Oswaldo Arcia was promoted correctly but shouldnt spend any time next year in AA. Very rare that they jump a guy a whole league also. David Bromberg is a prime example. He's a guy MN thought enough of to protect on 40 man AFTER reaching AAA in 2010 & having success there (9 starts 52IP 3.98era 47k). He gets sent back to AA , start decently (3.63era in 22.1IP), gets hurt & is sent back to AA in 2012. Even this year with success in limited AAA gms (2.75era 19.2IP), he STILL sits in AA. Ill also get frustrated when a player is promoted mid season, has solid success at the next level but isnt promoted the next yr to start the season. MN gives that 'prove it to me again' attitude. Michael Tonkin, at Ft Myers, is someone I think should start next yr in AA after spending large parts of 3 seasons at Low A ball.

He'll only be 20 when ELIZ starts next yr so its not like he's old (be like a JC college drafted player) but unfortunately you dont really know what you got yet....too bad
