  1. Burton, Guerrier, potato, potato.
  2. Whoops, thought Santana and Nunez made 24, apparently not, forgot Fuld bonked his noggin" . Let's just hope when Fuld or Arcia are ready they lose a pitcher instead of Parms.
  3. Isn't Hicks taking that spot or are they sending Santana back down? That needs to be done because, you know, 13 pitchers and all.
  4. And the Twins know the value of a dime.
  5. 631 total PA's cobbled together over 3 years is opportunity? How much leash for Kubel? What's to be gained, the slight illusion of competitiveness for this year?
  6. Well that gets him on the 40 man, now to option or DFA one of our 19 relievers and get him on the 25 man.
  7. This whole organization should be ashamed of what has become of this team. I'm not usually one for hyperbole or excessive negativity but that team on the field today was embarrassing.
  8. The Twins? 6 years on a pitcher?......c'mon!
  9. Yes, and I'm trying to erase the memory thanks.
  10. Well this is shaping up to be quite the game thread, lots of joy and sunshine.
  11. Everton, good squad, overshadowed by their more famous cross town rivals Liverpool and always seem to be on the outside looking in. They had a good run this year, almost grabbed a Champions League spot away from Arsenal but once again the bridesmaids. They're not rich, they're competitive and they'll always break your heart. There is also nothing quite like a Merseyside Derby so even if they are low down the table you can always have a successful season by beating Liverpool.
  12. Florimon ughh, I'm embarrassed for them.
  13. Colabello, Kubel and Willingham have no long term future, bring Parms up in June and lose a couple of these guys. If it turns out he never learns to hit major league pitching are they really any further behind?

  15. Not much solace in that sadly, absolutely gutted by the meltdown at Selhurst, still in disbelief. Ah well, they've lived on the edge with that defense all year, not many expected them to be top of the table with one to play so at the end of the day a great year and still not over if either The Villa or Baggies can knock off City and Liverpool can go through against Newcastle. Congrats on your Seagulls, 92 minute? thrilling stuff! Hope you can get up to the Premier League next.
  16. Thus a bakers dozen is now referred to as a Rider dozen in the rest of Canada. You're right about the Bombers, take your shots while you can, I can and will take it, no defense. See you on labour day!!
  17. Regina you say?........ Best game ever!....................ok I'm a Bomber fan, give it your best shot, you have plenty of ammo. http://www.clubsask.com/images/13thman.jpg
  18. Friends with Mark Zuckerberg and Jimmy Wales I assume? Very informative fellows.
  19. I'm going to play this song through Deduno's entire start tomorrow......and love it. [video=youtube;1D5Sa2Yq-2g]
  20. I don't see too much bi-lateral arm breakage over predicting Florimon's abysmal failure to be a competent hitter, just people stating what should have been glaringly obvious, especially to professional baseball people who's stated goal it was to improve. Suzuki has been a pleasant surprise, but he has been a surprise and his success is much more likely to be a result of SSS than P-Flo's.
  21. Other than stolen bases Mauer profiles better as a lead off hitter than Dozier. If Dozier could lift his BA a bit he would be a great 2 hole hitter.
  22. If Kubel can't hit that pitch what the hell is he here for?
