    Lol, me too! The Tele that Don Rich is playing in that video doesn't look like his famous sliver sparkle, it looks more gold. I wonder what became after his silver one after Buck died, apparently he had got it from Rich's widow when he went on tour with Dwight Yoakam. I bet it's worth a pretty penny, hope it's not wasting away in a museum somewhere..........................the suits on the other hand.

    Croft at 6-5 and a generous 200lbs is going to have to fill out to make it through a B1G season. Streveler has been working out at wide receiver, I think that's where they should keep him just like they did with Gray.

    The passing game needs improvement, yes, it doesn't take much to see that. If you think the biggest problem is Leidner I think you're wrong. Yeah he air mailed a few and 2 hopped a couple, he also was pretty impressive on that 80 yard drive in the closing minutes. Experience? He's only completed one full season. I love how people are so quick to pull the plug on a redshirt junior Win in spite of him? C'mon. So they lose because of him and they win in spite of him? That's balanced I'm not even that big a Leidner fan but he takes way too much criticism imo.

    I don't see the point in burning the redshirt on Croft when it's highly unlikely he'll make a significant difference. What for? The Gophers were 8-5 with Leidner last season, including road wins in Michigan and Nebraska and a dismantling of Iowa. They aren't going with a true freshman at this point.

    That's a good question and I've often wondered that myself. The Jays being such a big ban wagon team definitely gets the casual fan, the exposure to the team is significant so that is natural. I believe the more regular and diehard baseball fans here are more often than not Twins fans, I see an awful lot of Twins gear worn in this city and they are the team of choice apparel wise in the stores, behind the Boston and New York fashionistas and the Jays. In either case way more people I know and have met have attended Twins games vs Blue Jays games, the difference in proximity is huge. I always find it a bit short sighted that the travel companies here market Jays games in the Twin Cities almost exclusively to Jays fans. I'd be willing to bet they could fill some buses with Twins fans with the right deal.

    I'm glad the Jays are beating up on the Yankees and providing an opportunity for the Twins to potentially overtake them but this whole "Blue Jay Fever" crap up here is reaching intolerable levels, barf.

    Yeah, I think he still makes the Hof. His remaining years with the Twins would have been looked upon as the hometown boy staying home type thing by the writers, I don't think it would have changed anything. Dozier very much needs to use the whole field, lately it seems I've noticed him not going after balls on the outer part of the plate, I'm not sure if that is the beginning of a process that has him not trying to pull everything or not. I haven't looked it up but part of that seems to have him striking out looking more on those outer edge pitches, maybe once he gets more comfortable with it we'll start to see him take those pitches the other way.. No to bunting. Buxton entering the lineup, Hunter's regression, Rosario's low OBP and taking so long to figure out Esco as their best bet at SS have contributed to their run scoring woes imo. Yanks are in trouble, I never thought they were as good as their record and the latest pounding by the Blue Jays in their own park shows the real gap between those two teams. The collar gets real tight in NY in Sept when things aren't going well, I'm not sure they have the horses to stay ahead with all the injuries. Have to say Esco is the starting SS come next April, Santana will likely be around as the utility guy with Nunez out, could still be his to take come June, Polanco could spoil that for him though.

    Not at this point, they have Kent St. and Ohio coming up, both at home and it's pretty unlikely they lose either game, which keeps Leidner safe. If they are 0-2 in conference play after Purdue then the noise gets real loud, particularly if the defense plays the way they have.

    I just don't think the execution was very good all around in the first half, QB play gets magnified when the Offense is out of sync. The second half was much better and Leidner threw the ball down the field pretty well, he made some very good, key throws. I'm not entirely sold myself but as I said previously, Leidner's job is to manage the game, he largely does that. Statistically I'd like to see him improve as well, we'll see.

    Agreed pathetic first half effort, Kill called it embarrassing. Disagree it was all Leidner, it was him, the O-Line, play calling and the receivers. Bottom line, 80 yard drive in just over 2 minutes to score with 55 seconds left, he got it done.

    How can anyone be down with Goldy? He's far and away the best mascot in the B1G This is easily his best moment, running over the kid was priceless!
