Agreed on the first part for sure, pretty much posted that sentiment in the Pelfrey thread. The second part isn't a stretch by any means based on what we've seen so far.

A win tonight is essential to not ruin my entire weekend. I'd rather drink in a good mood as opposed to a bad one.

I'm not sure what you mean by this? What exactly are you referring to? The only part I can make sense of is propping up Assad..
  4. twinsnorth49
Politics and more politics. If only it were actually about the people.

I apologise for insulting your rich musical history. http://cbsnews1.cbsistatic.com/hub/i/2013/03/06/5bab1b1c-a645-11e2-a3f0-029118418759/ctm_bolton_030613.jpg http://www.magic931.com.au/images/Vanilla-Ice-007.jpg

    Barbershop quartets………….why America…….why?!!

It's a multi faceted issue, it's not just about heart or compassion. US citizens somehow have less heart than the rest of the advanced world? That just doesn't seem to make much sense.
  8. twinsnorth49
What? In all seriousness, what are you saying here?
  9. twinsnorth49
I refuse to commiserate about the games where they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, there have been too many where they snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, including last night probably. It's just not how things work, there is no script on how games are won and lost, just a record of each.

Yeah, I'm not blaming Mollie or Allen necessarily, nor am I really saying May is a bad choice for the bullpen. I just wish they had gone outside to find another reliever and left May where he was, instead of Pelfrey. I think it would have very likely resulted in a few more wins.

What happened to all the doomsayers? Fire escape? Trap door?

Say what you want about Molly and this team, they got the fight.
  15. twinsnorth49
I'm not convinced Plouffe even reaches second there.....
  16. twinsnorth49
Making that error pay would be the best payback imaginable for the bat toss.
  17. twinsnorth49
Whoa hey, what a surprise running into you after that play.......
  18. twinsnorth49
Well dang it, can't say I'm shocked but that's baseball.
  19. twinsnorth49
    Score..................just ****ing score!!!
  20. twinsnorth49

TD Game Thread, come for the fun, stay for the histrionics.
  22. twinsnorth49
Yep, beating guys like Kluber and Carrasco and putting up a dud like this against Bauer is pretty disappointing. But, such is the story of this team really.
  23. twinsnorth49
    ****!!!
  24. twinsnorth49
That pitch to Chisenahall was a thing of beauty.
  25. twinsnorth49
Of course he'll make a complete liar of me now, which I'll be quite pleased to accept.
