  1. Wait, let me get this straight, you're banned from listening to Nirvana but it's OK to indulge in copious amounts of Puff the Magic Dragon? Hmmmmm......
  2. Ok I read this and thought I teleported into the music lovers thread, what's happening?
  3. 4 year Anniversary of Canada's elimination of the penny next month. Man, I don't miss a bunch of pennies loading down my pocket. I like sourdough.....a lot.
  4. In NHL 14 you could join or form lobbies by invite with friends or other good players you knew to play on the same team in EASHL for OTP. They dumped that in NHL 15 and pretty much relegated you to playing with random strangers, most of whom SUCKED! Plus, when a player left his controller, the AI didn't take over like it did in 14. The whole OTP thing in 15 was a colossal cluster****, which EA promised to put out a patch for, it appears the patch is called NHL 16 and costs $80cdn...I hope anyway. ****ers!
  5. Honey mustard I can get behind but BBQ sauce, except when caramelised to a sticky goo I just don't get.
  6. No,no,straight up salt and sometimes malt vinegar guy, I just loathe ketchup in general. Although Mayo mixed with chili sauce and a bit of powdered curry is a great dip for sweet potato fries.
  7. No.........just no.
  8. Potatoes, yes, in pretty much any form but roasties are probably my single favourite. Linguine and clams in a white wine sauce is one of my favourite ways to devour clams, although on the half shell with some tobasco is an all time classic. Proms aren't up here until June typically. Bunson burners, high school chemistry...........don't get me started......
  9. Lol, ok maybe not everything 50's. Definitely 50's Blues culture though, music and style.
  10. I'm sure I lived my first life in the 50's, way too much resonates with me from that decade but I'm only 46.
  11. I'm not tuning in to watch him play RF anyway, doesn't matter to me.
  12. Not yet, will probably soon, I've only had the game about a month or so. TBH the OTP in 15 was so poor that I hadn't even thought about it much, it sounds like the EASHL and drop in play are good in 16 though. Have they brought back lobbies in 16? I haven't found a definitive answer yet.
  13. Ditto for me, my biggest regret in buying the Xbox One is no MLB, looking more and more like I'll have to grab a PS4. NHL 16 rocks!
  14. Odd how none of this maturing or commitment talk came up during his TJ rehab, which he came out of with flying colours. If Reusse is such a savvy guy and nobody's fool, he needs to do a more credible job than what he's provided in this article. Talk about flimsy.
  15. Two things strike me with this, one, I think Buxton just more naturally fits the mould that Ryan prefers, he's been quoted as saying things like "being raised right" and such. To me it's a bit of inherent bias to what a guy like TR values, which I'm not saying is wrong, it just happens to fit Buxton and not Sano. Secondly, I have no problem with pointing put flaws or blind spots to counter blind fan worship, but if someone in Reusse's position is going to do that he should make sure there is sufficient evidence to call it such and not base it on the flimsy information he's provided in his article.
  16. This is exactly my take on the article, a bit thin on facts and anything really measurable. Reusse is simply doing his tired anti-hero routine with a high profile player and stretching for a contrarian view to elicit some page reads. I also think Molitor's comments were framed a certain way to drive the reader in the direction of the narrative. The comments seemed fairly neutral to me, he could have basically been saying it's easy to get caught up in the off field distractions of being a big leaguer so remember what got you here and keep making it your priority. Which he also appears to have said Sano has done ok with, I guess if we want to hyper-analyse what he meant by "ok", then there might be something to discuss.
  17. It appears Glunn has been too busy to take part in this thread, so I've taken the liberty of compiling his list for him. 1. Dancing Queen - ABBA 2. Waterloo - ABBA 3. SOS - ABBA 4. Fernando - ABBA 5. Mamma Mia - ABBA 6. Knowing me Knowing you-ABBA 7. I Have a Dream - ABBA 8. Take a Chance on Me - ABBA 9. One of Us - ABBA 10. Winner Take All - ABBA
  18. ....I confess, guilty as charged, hehe.
  19. I assume Wham was probably a last cut then? No judgment.
  20. Glosettes chocolate covered raisins was and is one of my favourite treats of all time!
  21. Wake up music is a fine line between staying in bed or waking up wanting to throw something. My current choice is "Hasn't Hit Me Yet" by Blue Rodeo. So far it's starting my day off just right.
  22. I was being unfair? I didn't day squelched but just as good dinner conversation is very rarely about dinner, game threads aren't much about the game. That's the charm and appeal I might add.
  23. Historically it seems that's where most of your problems stem from I believe.
