    You can answer it with , one that is only going to come down with as many plate appearances as possible at the MLB level. And what better time than to give them the opportunity the while marching too 100 losses. If it doesn't, at least you bothered to find out.

    I think AA would be a pretty solid choice. It's a little difficult to compare his time with the Jays with how he might approach the job in Minnesota. He was under quite a bit of pressure in Toronto to win, it's a big market team when taking into account it's National status, plus it being an AL East team. He was basically given a blank cheque from Rogers to win now, I think that influences his decision making. I don't think the same conditions apply in Minnesota, sure the fan base is hungry to return to relevance but somehow I think the immediate pressure to provide a WS is a bit less. He's obviously a good evaluator of talent and isn't afraid to make moves he's feels benefits his team. I'm not sure that necessarily equates to selling the farm.

    Isn't that one of the major tenets of Liberatarianism? Isolationism isn't a new concept in America. One might argue that isolationism is a prevailing sentiment among the average American.

    If anyone is making a mountain out of a grain of sand, I believe it's you. Your insistence to just dismiss this all because of some perceived, insignificant time frame isn't really an argument. I don't care whether it was 2 AB'S or 50, the Twins brought up a player who should play no part in their future plans, at the expense of at least 3 players who they need to do everything they can to find out whether they do. In a season as lost as this and with wins being as meaningless as complaining which direction the wind is blowing, that's really the only thing that matters.

    Just finished "Long Walk to Freedom", the story of Nelson Mandela. Very good read. Also, while not an autobiography, "56, Joe Dimaggio and The Last Magic Number in Sports" is a great look into the 1941 season and a worthwhile read.
