I hope Hicks is ready... I'm pulling for him. If he gets going... I think he will be fun to watch. John Fogerty may have to play CF if Hicks isn't ready. -

Ok... But I was 13... I do much better with nuance now. The loss of Carew was my darkest period. When you get older the darkness is much less dark.

I think Mauer will be fine at 1B. Deduno... I think will be great in the bullpen if he starts innings. But.... I still believe he could be our best starter if starting.

This was mine... I was 13 years old and Carew was the Twins to me. I remember trying to use his batting stance. That imitation probably killed a year of my baseball development. I liked Landreaux and Engle and Havens... But Carew was my favorite Twin and I just couldn't understand why as a young 13 year old. I never forgave Griffith... His Racist Rasslin Ring comment that drove Carew away and drove me away with him. I didn't want my state of Minnesota painted like Griffith painted it. Along with the feeling that we could never hang on to a free agent ever!!! The Carew trade just flipped the anti Griffith switch. I kept on forgiving Carl Pohlad because he wasn't Griffith. I'm older now and have gotten over what was once deep seeded Griffith hate. Hate that mixed up my faithful Twins fanaticism that I never lost.

The same fears from watching last season... Uninspired baseball. You gotta compete!!! I can spot lolligagging from a mile away. At least I think that's lolligagging... I didn't wash my glasses this morning.

Florimon choked on a bunt... Hicks over committed and got hung up. Mistake followed by mistake. Hicks made a good call by just going for third instead of trying to scramble back to 2nd. Boston on blew it defensively or Hicks was toast at 3b. Gladden oversold it. It was bad baseball all around.

Defense letting us down Forget the Bartlett miscue... Why isn't Escobar throwing home? Someone besides Hammer could have had that Bogearts ball. And now the walls are starting to wobble.

I was busy at work... And I just can't get into this spring training day game stuff right now. Bring Monday on... I'm actually willing to give up this weekend to fast forward to Monday.

I feel the same. Although... I hope Plouffe Bombs a lot... About 30 of them total. That would be nice.

I don't think they think the entire fan base are complete morons... But I think they read Twins Daily and chuckle from time to time. Where this front office fits into the rankings of the other front offices is impossible to know and a worthy discussion from the sidelines. However... they are still baseball professionals who are exposed to every nuance that most of us are miles from. Moron's they are not. It is almost impossible for a staff that large that has been working in the industry for as long as they have... to be made up entirely of baseball moron's.

At first I thought you skipped Plan E... (time went by)... light bulb went off... I figured it out. LOL... Sometimes it takes me a little while.

In my opinion... The Front office probably has a plan B and a Plan C for CF and 3B. With my eyes... it appears that we have no plan B for CF or 3B. All eggs seem to be in the Hicks and Plouffe basket and that leaves me uneasy considering how Hicks and Plouffe performed in 2013.

LOL... "good enough to play in the majors" I had to double check to make sure I posted that qualifier... Thank Goodness I did. One time... I remember telling my son that he could be President. He looked at me and said "I'm only 5" I forgot to qualify that statement. And my son spent the next 5 years thinking I was full of it.

I continue to believe that if you are good enough to play in the majors. You are good enough to help your team win games. I believe in Mo... I believe in energy. I believe all 30 teams have a chance to surprise and disappoint. I believe the difference between the 50th best player in the major leagues and 300th best player is extremely slight in the grand scheme of the game. I also believe that if the Twins played with the energy they displayed last year. They have no chance.
