  1. Yup, pretty sure. The view just takes some getting used to... http://gifimage.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/always-look-on-the-bright-side-of-life-gif-8.gif
  2. Let's wait and see. The Twins' covert op to trip them up with their own overconfidence is shaping up really nicely.
  3. Three run homer on 0-2 again, but on the bright side, absolutely no way Eddie can throw the ball into the dugout this time.
  4. The tiny team bus in the visiting team parking area was the early giveaway.
  5. Rosario with an absolute laser throwout, if home plate were in Orlando.
  6. Well, that didn't take long...
  7. Fastball worked on Kep before, so... what could go wrong?
  8. If he can pitch like this all year, he'll be on the DL from overuse by June. On an unrelated note, I've just been named co-chair of the Fun Committee at work.
  9. I used to get that a lot, and then she moved out.
  10. Press got away with one on the fly out by Cron. His previous swing was the kind of high cut you usually see only in the sort of softball game where beer-holder helmets are allowed, but Press's next pitch was back down in the ouch zone.
  11. Me too, but I'm also doing aerobic shuddering as a new fitness routine anyway, so... two birds, one stone, etc.
  12. Mauer on pace to set the MLB record for highest ratio of unintentional walks to homers for a player over 4 feet tall.
  13. Misread that as "shocked Molitor pulled a Hughes", and feared the worst... http://betrending.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Howard-Hughes.jpg
  14. Common misconception, but Fangraphs says that when he bats lefty, he's way more likely to get conked in the melon. So... there's that.
  15. Good to see LaMarre get some much-needed rest, what with his Babip dipping below .900. But at least there's no chatter on the game thread about 1.000 being "unsustainable" and whatnot. We follow a team that has mid-April ball games postponed due to a foot of snow... do we really need math nerds crushing our wildly unrealistic daydreams about fringey Twins players making statistical history?
  16. Fred McGriff made an outstanding instructional video of a drill to practice this play, using a small enclosed space and live chicken. Or it may have been Burgess Meredith in one of the Rocky movies. Either way, let's tune up those fundamentals, boys.
  17. Web M.D. said I probably had that when I described my symptoms to it a few hours after eating a box of Fiber One bars.
  18. It's cool that the Twins want me to see them play even when I work late, but this extra innings thing is probably going to make the bullpen grouchy.
  19. Yeah, I love'em for about 10 crackers' worth, and then they taste like little salt bombs, sprinkled with nostalgia. And salt.
  20. Yup, so I must not be the only one keeping them on the shelves...
  21. Nabisco has a contingency product for exactly this situation...
  22. BABIP machine will not be denied! w00t! All it took was 5 hours, 13 minutes, and 53 gallons of sweat.
