  1. Totally agree, and yet it's reaching the point where it might be nice to see them try to replace Wilson anyway. There's at least a small chance that a replacement would be better, and as a bonus, maybe a good chance that a replacement would be no better, but not likable enough that the front office would consider bringing them back next year.
  2. The Twins managed to keep the Red Sox' nine year old third baseman from getting a hit, so that's something...
  3. It's all good, because something something veteran leadership.
  4. In the Twins bullpen, relievers square off in deadly combat for the right to claim the save opportunity: "I'll wager 50 quatloos that the newcomer known as 'Rodney' is untrainable".
  5. Nice baserunning by Rosario, but next time let's see if we can maybe take out the umpire after touching the plate, Eddie.
  6. Maybe they can get him work release with a tracking bracelet.
  7. I tried to find this for you, but no luck: 'Your search - "Blazing saddles Reed fastball velocity" did not match any documents. Suggestions: * Make sure player's name is spelled correctly. * Try different movie reference. * Use random Hedley Lamarre quote.

  10. And the boring Rodney to close it out.
  11. He's having the kind of game that reminds of the classic Sinclair Lewis satirical sabremetric novel, Babbipp.
  12. That leads to the Memorial Gambling Asylum. Never been there, but I hear it's insane.
  13. "You use your tongue prettier than a twe..." < checks T.D. warning point total > Never mind.
  14. Eddie came up a pinwheel breathing exercise short of a mindfulness bingo on that caught stealing.
  15. Somewhere in America during the Twins highlights on ESPN tonight, Walt Hriniak will shed a tear for Eddie Rosario's perilously impatient day at the plate.
  16. The blueprint for the new offensive surge is clear: utility infielder grand slams. Championship! Za!
  17. Maximus Decimus Meridius likes this
  18. Naah, that still captures the essence of Happy Gardy, that of a whimsical, carefree, roaming baseball gnome. And then there's his dark side, reserved mostly for bad umpiring... angry South Pole elf: Can't help but pity any umpire who sees Angry Gardy approaching and greets him with "... look at yooou!"
  19. Hildenbergsie 1, Rally Geese 0.
  20. Other than that, though... mashing.
  21. Ahh, that's better. Thought I heard something about an unearned run. Good to know our boys earned it.
  22. So this is a converted reliever who's shut out the Twins for six innings, right?
