  1. Yes, but about things like whether the economies of Virginia and Pennsylvania were already entrepreneurial and capitalist in 1740.
  2. I imagine my random utterances being greeted much like Dick prodding gingerly at the guy who grabbed Pujols' 600th home run as if he were an extraterrestrial who wandered into the booth.
  3. He seemed to be venting the frustration of his ERA creeping over 2.
  4. Candlestick Park was the best park in the league to watch empty plastic shopping bags swirl around in little outfield trashnados. Not sure if that's helpful to the discussion.
  5. Don't worry, there will be plenty more when Santana is pulled. Oh, you meant a chance for the Twins to blow it wide open, I'll bet. Sorry.
  6. Thanks, and if you change your mind, no hard feelings. My own family has been filtering me for years.
  7. Sliding safely under the catcher's tag: "Sano place like home!: En route to third for his annual triple: "Miguel rounding second on his Sanomobile!" Making his second error of a ballgame: "Sanoooobody knows the trouble he's seen..."
  8. He asked immediately after my post, so maybe he's planning on filtering my weirdness instead.
  9. Yes, it was a magical time for music, pitcher RBI's, and mass reenactments of the horrors people experienced in the Dark Ages. http://i.imgur.com/jtdi1pk.jpg
  10. If they've been using 'Obi-Wan Sanobi' then I'm missing some royalty checks.
  11. So is Molitor the bad guy in that picture because he's going to trap the Sanoman in a greenhouse and force him to practice bunting until he melts?
  12. And don't forget the B-side of that release, "No Bullpen No Cry".
  13. "I've got some oregano. I hear that works pretty good." http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pLjQV7rbAzY/VhbI3v3LcdI/AAAAAAAAXWU/Yshw_Ml-3xs/s1600/A%2BFew%2BGood%2BMen9.png
  14. Sort of like Gardy's 'the second baseman leads off' rule, Servais DH's the guy with the coolest sounding former All Star power hitter's name.
  15. http://s1.ibtimes.com/sites/www.ibtimes.com/files/styles/lg/public/2011/11/12/189633-penn-state-vigil.jpg
  16. It seems like breaking pitches are a game of tag for Buxton where he's always about to be "it".
  17. But even in his old age he managed to get the other two bases on a passed ball.
  18. 13 more minutes to midnight, and then everyone's allowance of 'Likes' is refilled!
  19. Completely agree, as long as the Twins view themselves as contenders. The second they don't, Kepler needs to be an every day player regardless of platoon splits. And as an aside, the loss of at bats for guys like Kepler and Buxton due to partial platooning or pinch hitters is a seldom-discussed indirect cost of prioritizing the pursuit of the division crown over readying for 2018 and beyond.
  20. It was mostly for fun, but a little bit of a metaphor... Belisle still has the capacity to be effective, but his margin for error is almost razor-thin at this point in his career.
  21. http://www.strangedangers.com/images/content/137131.jpg
  22. Not really, but then I expected the Twins to be ten games out of first by this point in the season, so I'm not sure my vote of no terror for Belisle actually counts for anything.
  23. What Kyle Gibson pitching with a lead into the seventh means to fans: What Kyle Gibson allowing a baserunner with a lead in the seventh means to the bullpen: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v223/Titan62/Canadian%20Military/060729_CSOR_02.jpg
  24. Seager couldn't have dug out that Gibson slow curve he struck out on if he'd gone after it with a sand wedge.
  25. That's about right. With his last run-saving catch, Buxton leads the balloting for the game's MVP - Most Valuable Parasol.
