  1. Well, I don't know about that. Sure Rochester might go 0-19 but Detroit will be going, what, 2-17. So actually it is rather close.
  2. I think one of the best words to describe the 2019 Twins is: "curious". Great team, absolutely. But a curious team.
  3. Does anyone else think that Rochester would actually have a better chance against Cleveland than Detroit?
  4. 12 hits given up so far to the White Sox with Perez having started? If Perez starts against the Yankees or Astros in postseason, you just switch the numbers around. 21.
  5. Why not play to clinch the division as quickly as possible and then rest players? Sounds like a better plan. Baldelli's approach is very curious.
  6. Gibson is one of those guys that had a lot of talent but never really used it to its full potential. Some pitchers don't have enough trust in their stuff, he's one of them. Will be very happy to see him go!
  7. HUGE day for the Twins today! HUGE!
  8. If we fail to make the playoffs, it was not a fun year. It was, to be perfectly honest, a year that I will want to quickly forget. "You play the game to win. Hello?" Herm Edwards.
  9. Does everyone remember the movie "Little Big League", with the kid manager wigging out on the player? Well, I think someone needs to sit Cron down in the dugout and have a reenactment of that scene! He is striking out a lot!
  10. A 4 game lead is nothing in Baseball. In football, different story. In Baseball, it's nothing. It can be gone in a second. I really appreciated Morneau's commentary at the beginning of the game when he said that we needed to play desperate. This is why I am so frustrated. Putting Stewart and Hildenberger out there is not playing desperate.
  11. Well done, Fernando. And thanks for never doing that for us...like ever!
  12. Season on the brink right here. And I am not exaggerating. Go ahead and tell me going into Cleveland after a 2-4 homestand is not disastrous. This is a crucial game.
  13. Hold your breath and hope for a 500 footer.
  14. Either win this game or it's off to the chopping block in Cleveland. How I wish we had not left our very worst pitcher Stewart in the most important game of the year so far.
  15. What I wouldn't give for the Twins to force me to eat the words I wrote this evening. If only we could make this miracle comeback.
  16. Not saying we're a bad club. I'm saying if a club doesn't have pitching, they're a bad club. Twins are pretty good. But Cleveland has a better pitching staff.
  17. You're really not going to like what I am about to write here but I don't think there has ever been a time this year that the Twins have been the best team in the division. Just my opinion, guys. It's because I have a different perspective on baseball. I consider the pitching staff to be by far the most important part of a ballclub. That's the way I look at baseball. Pitching is 2/3 of your club. No pitching. Bad club.
  18. I want to make it clear that I am not bad-mouthing our manager. I said it SEEMS. Not that it is. I just strongly disagree with some of the coaching decisions that I have seen this year.
  19. Would you believe that this year has been one of the more frustrating years for me as a Twins fan? I can't place why that is, but it seems like there have been some games this year where our manager literally gives the other team the game. I'm old school. I don't believe in giving even one game. Even if it means you have to burn through your entire bullpen. Those fans paid DANG good money to see you give it all you got!
  20. Well, the Angels are now in a must win situation. Desperately need them to bail us out tonight.
  21. I beg of you. Please relay this to the Twins bench and pronto!
  22. This season is starting to head into a very dark place. Better find a way to finish Twins or this season will become infamous.
  23. All I can say is if you're not using your sore guys now, then when is the right time to use them? When we are down 2 games in the standings? If that happens, we're finished.
  24. If we lose tonight, it's a big one! Better come up with 5 runs in the bottom of the ninth somehow.
  25. Here's hoping the Yankees get that record. What a gimmick! I don't care one bit who gets the record and do not truly understand why it was such a big deal to begin with. I do, however, care about winning the division. I was actually rather disappointed that Rosario spoke up the night they lost and yet broke the record for HRs. I think the team ought to have been highly disappointed because that dumb record means absolutely nothing. But that loss to a bad Tigers team? You bet the guys had a right to be disappointed that night.
