  1. Boy, who didn't see this coming?
  2. You guys do realize they are playing the Royals, right?
  3. The Twins are essentially being managed by a computer & analytic system...Rocco is just the face of such.
  4. With the current FO (Falvey & Lavine), no chance Rocco is let go. They are a package deal - so either the Pohlads step in and clean house, or the same regime will be back (unless they decide to go elsewhere on their own). The whole coaching staff needs a revamp - from the hitting/pitching coaches to the guys running the bases. There's a reason why Jayce Tingler got fired by SD...what made the Twins think he was capable of being a competent bench coach?
  5. You're kidding if you think this roster, if healthy, was built to win it all. From opening day, this team had little-to-no quality SP depth, and the bullpen was an absolute cluster f.
  6. Winning a division where the winner of it may not even finish above .500. Yes, this is relative to your argument supporting the FO by saying they built a team capable of winning the division.
  7. "Fine" has gotten them zero postseason victories. If you are okay with the "fine" that they have done, kudos to you.
  8. This article is laughable - and a main reason why people can't take the Twins media seriously.
  9. The fact that this is still an issue, years later, is a failure by the Twins organization.
  10. This FO/organization will not do anything significant at the deadline. Guaranteed.
  11. You're telling me there is a chance the Twins, the Minnesota Twins, lose out on a FA due to their cheapness? Shocking news, folks.
  12. I am sure the Yankees are quivering at the thought of facing Rich Hill in October....if the Twins even get there.
  13. When the Twins signed Parker, all we heard (from the talking heads, on TV, etc.) was how effective and awesome Parker's splitter was...in fact, people went so far as to say his splitter would drastically improve once the weather got warmer and he was able to get a better feel for it. Your typical hyperbole, talking jargon that doesn't amount to much of any substance.
  14. Sad thing, and truth, is that there will be people that try and swing these deals as being significant. Sad, really.
  15. Already reading how great this splitter is and how it is revitalized his career. Just like Blake Parker for the Twins in 2019...
  16. Exactly. Personally, I never bought into the whole idea that the Twins were all of a sudden going to change their philosophy and go out and get an impact arm(s). You don't set your expectations up for failure, and you don't feel terrible when underwhelm...again.
  17. So, the Twins signed Bailey because he is a Yankee killer. I am on board!
  18. Yeah, this is something I just cannot agree with or even come to comprehend as being a serious thought. It is just another built in excuse for the Twins continuing to fail to sign legitimate, organizational changing type players via FA.
  19. I mean, based on what people are saying about Minnesota and how terrible it is to live and raise a family in. Give me a break - this is a culture thing. Teams can't take the Twins serious because of how they have handled free agency in the past. Oh, and if they aren't going to be players in FA because of it being something that the player has to also agree to, then you go out and make a damn trade to BRING a guy to Minnesota where he has no choice. You force the hand, and stop sitting on these "prospects" that, more often than not, are never going to pan out. These excuse based articles, and continued support of the Twins and their lack of involvement in free agency should piss off any Twins fan that is legit about their team competing for a World Series.
  20. TBH, I am surprised ANY free agent chooses Minnesota, given how horrible it is to live in Minnesota.
  21. Exactly. There is no way the Twins are supposedly "engaged" on all these guys, and don't land a single one. Their level of "engagement" must be quite different than other teams.
