Romero and Alcala both have the potential to be at least middle of the rotation starters. Smeltzer may not have their ceiling. He can still pitch effectively in the major as he showed earlier. Celestino can be a good defensive outfielder. If those are not enough, they can always throw in Gonsalves and Cave.
I didn't see it's for both. I just throw in three more. Celestino, Gonsalves and Gordon. Twins have enough talent in the minor league. Those 5 should not hurt the system much. It's sad to see Gordon and Romero go though.
MadBum has been in this league for quite some time. He's seen it all. I doubt it's going to get him angry. He knows how important it is to perform well in the post season though.
I have no problem with that. I think MLB ranks him lower than Larnach. Twins should save as many pitching talent as possible. Jax and Enlow might have a bright future as well.
Well it's not all right if a team has more than one #5 though. Perez definitely looks more like #5, Gibson sometimes looks like #5. Now there is a problem here for a contending team.
I have no interest in seeing Schoop next season, Arraez certainly can take his spot. Astudillo can take Castro's spot next season. Astudillo should stay as a catcher.
From my observation Castro has plenty of strikeout looking, esp with runners in scoring position. I would like to see him become more aggressive in that situation. Btw, I am not interested in seeing him and Schoop in Twins uniform next season.
I would not want to see Cave again in Twins uniform. I would like to see Sano and Schoop sit on the bench as much as possible. Sano could ride minor league buses for a few weeks to get his head straight.
