  1. IMHO the roster's position players, talent-wise, are just not that good, and it shows when you have two potential starters (Lewis and Lee) injured. How many of our guys would be starters on a playoff-caliber team? France, Julien, Miranda, Gasper ... even Jeffers, Bader, Castro and Larnach are probably not every-day players on a "good" MLB team.
  2. If that was a double steal Julien broke way too early,
  3. Same here with the audio problem. I'm watching on MLB.TV.
  4. Completely agree. I give Falvey credit for assembling a decent pitching staff, but after seven years of this regime we've got a weak hitting lineup that can't play defense.
  5. Morneau blaming the wet grass for the error.
  6. You're behind by 9 with a 3-2 count and you take a pitch down the middle?
  7. Has to be part of the tanking plan. 🤮
  8. Maybe this is part of an ingenious tanking plan for 2025.
  9. The torpedo bat doesn't work as well for Jeffers as it does for Judge.
  10. I don't like Wallner at leadoff either, but who would you put there? Not sure we have anyone suitable.
  11. If we're worse than St. Louis it's going to be a long season.
  12. Strong 5 innings from Ryan. Very few hard hits.
  13. I have the same issue. Seems like a MLB.TV problem. FWIW the Saturday game is on FS1.
  14. I can't get to MLB.TV either on any device.
  15. He's not throwing a lot of strikes; currently only 35 strikes in 62 pitches.
  16. Agreed. The Mets were sold in 2020 for 2.4 billion. I'm sure someone would pay more than that for the Dodgers if they were for sale.
  17. And it does seem like there are only a handful of teams that can even compete with the Dodgers (Phillies, Braves, and by default whoever make the World Series from the AL).
  18. I have to shake my head that situational hitting is only now a focus for the organization.
  19. MLB has parity only in the sense that the current playoff system of 12 teams making the playoffs produces somewhat random results in terms of championships. The Yankees have qualified for the postseason in 11 of the last 15 seasons. And here are the Dodgers recent win totals excluding the Covid year: 98, 100, 111, 106, 106, 92, 104, and four more seasons in the 90s. The big market teams have a decent chance every year to make the World Series. Even well run small market teams struggle to make the playoffs on a consistent basis, and when they do, they have an uphill road to the World Series. The Brewers have qualified in six of the last seven seasons but have not played in the WS those years.
  20. I have a bargin basement 32" Visio as my second TV. Maybe their more expensive TVs have more apps available.
  21. Thanks. I am able to "cast" from some (bt not all) phones. The MLB app is not one of the apps that can be downloade to my Visio TV (it's not in Visio's list of apps).
