  1. Eddie Rosario definitely did not have/does not have a 70 hit tool. I would venture to say that the highest he was rated in hit tool was 60, by any respectable publication.
  2. 70-80 ratings are reserved for prospects with an ELITE tool. One season of hitting .340 when you've consistently hit around .270 doesn't deserve an elite hit tool rating. Think Mark McGuire power, or Aroldis Chapman velocity. ELITE.
  3. Only one problem - Chris Williams isn't a defense first catcher.
  4. I'd be curious to know - Assuming that both of these hypothetical hitters have the same defensive performance, what if your .280 hitter has an OBP of .325, while the .220 hitter has an OBP of .360 - would you still prefer the .280 hitter?
  5. I really just disagree with Cavaco making this list in general, and the fact that Royce's future power potential (70) is rated as higher than Sabato's (60) is way off in my opinion.
  6. Interesting take on Nick Gordon. Have you seen his scouting report since 2014?
  7. Travis Lee was in the organization for a grand total of about 2 weeks. I kinda doubt that he made it into any prospect lists during that time.
  8. I initially thought this article may be about former Twins that had 1 solid season with the club, then never repeated those numbers. A few names came to mind immediately, such as Lew Ford, Danny Valencia, Brian Buscher and Scott Diamond. If TD hasn't done a piece on this yet, please do!!
  9. Colina's now in the Rangers org, so unless he ends up on waivers and we claim him, he's going to end his Twins career with that sparkling 81.00 ERA.
  10. Hate to be the guy to say it, but he was an international free agent signing, rather than a draftee. Have a good day.
  11. My favorite Deolis Guerra memory: I used to play Derek Jeter All Star Baseball 2003 for PlayStation 2, I played all 162 games of each season to the 2008 off season and always wanted my rosters to be accurate, so I traded Santana to the Mets for 4 no-name prospects and spent the time editing their names, height, weight, ratings, etc. Obviously I edited Guerra to have 90+ potential, and he was the anchor of my rotation for another few seasons until I finally switched to MVP Baseball because the graphics were SO much better. Dude was always around 230+ innings with an ERA in the mid 2's for my teams. Really wished that could have come to fruition for our Twins!!
  12. Fantastic point here about Wagner never facing DHs outside of interleague play. That really says a lot imo.
  13. I actually disagree that Wallner makes "enough" contact. Unless he improves bat to ball contact consistently, I'm afraid he won't make it past AAA...
  14. He's 30. Not the Twins 30th best prospect; he's 30 years old.
  15. That's fair. The 70 point difference in average is huge and so is the contact, along with the points you spoke to here. While I'd love to see Jose up tomorrow, I understand the business side and don't have any huge complaints that his service time is likely being taken into account with the non call up this year. I have always liked Rooker (not saying that I thought he'd be a star), but wouldn't be against your notion of moving on from him sooner than later. Especially if he doesn't show both contact and power simply due to his age. Especially if that gets Miranda ABs with the big club - at DH or otherwise.
  16. Yeah, I wouldn't have commented on your post if I wasn't aware of both of their numbers. Miranda has better AAA numbers: Avg, OBP and OPS and fewer strikeouts (by a ton) for example, so I don't see where you're coming from. Where are you seeing that Rooker has been better overall? I didn't say he needs to be in the bigs right now, I just disagree with the assessment that Rooker has been better.
  17. Your assessment of the their numbers is off IMO. I would personally rather prefer a hitter with Miranda's skills and profile on the team than Brent's, any day of the week.
  18. Reading that back, I see that what I saw as a typo was actually very clever wordplay!
  19. Gordon as in Nick Gordon? He's not getting released any time soon.
  20. I hate to criticize, but Weil's not anywhere near the same category of a hitter as Arraez. Wiel, is a career .263 hitter in the minors, whereas Arraez hit .331Apples to oranges as far as I'm concerned.
  21. @IndianaTwin Billy Beane?
  22. Why put Keirsey in the Depth category? He's more of a deeper prospect at this time.
