  1. He is always dear to my heart since he couldn’t catch the 9th inning triple in Game 6 of the World Series in 2011. He has tested positive for Peds. He hits 35 HRs with a decent OBP then you will be happy.
  2. The Ringer magazine acquired 73,000 old scouting reports from the Reds. There are five reports spread out over 10 days. They missed out on several reports. It is good insight on how different scouts evaluate the same player. This link lists players with 20 WARP and do not acquires. https://www.theringer.com/mlb/2019/3/6/18252369/cincinnati-reds-scouting-report-series-part-2-player-projections
  3. I can’t see a team getting good value for 4 years 60 million. I feel sorry for who signed Lance Lynn though you might win half his games.
  4. How much money do you think Kyle Gibson should earn? He was 7-13 before winning his last 3 starts in 2018. His ERA and WHIP were horrible in 2017 over 5 and 1.5 WHIP. Could you see giving him $75 million for 5 years for this mediocrity.
  5. I saw that the Angels were only going to accept electronic tickets on MLB ballpark app or tickets bought at their box office. Will this block stubhub? Other teams were considering doing this.
  6. What this means Ohtani can bat DH for 20 games, but, in the NL without DH I don’t think pinch hitting counts as a game. So would the pitcher be selected in away game and then remove in bottom of 1st where a replacement takes over. You would have to do this 20 games x 3 ABs. Need more info. Ohtani will be DH on days he doesn’t pitch in 2020. He isn’t pitching this year. See: https://www.latimes.com/sports/angels/la-sp-mlb-rule-changes-ohtani-angels-20190314-story.html
  7. There are few things that can ruin a season like catching problems. Your starting catcher is injured or falters and you can have season-wide issues. Pitch framing? I am sure umpires are aware that they are trying to be deceived. A pitch that is in the strike zone at the top of the plate, but, dips below it does it get called a strike when entering mitt?
  8. Two way players rule is unnecessary and 13 max pitchers. Ohtani is listed as a pitcher until he bats in 20 games then the Angels can have him designated as position player.
  9. Looks like changes are coming in 2020 with 26 man rosters and only 28 September roster. 3 batter limit or end of half inning. Other changes as well.
  10. Thought you brought back Gibby from the 60s for a minute when you used nickname Gibby.
  11. Thought for a minute you brought back Gibby from the 1960s when you used the nickname Gibby.
  12. I am in my 50s and never played. I have been reading up on it on different sites. I think I would have to know someone personally doing it. Do you have trades that can be vetoed by the others? What are the free sites like?
  13. How many hours a week do you spend on fantasy baseball?
  14. I wonder how often he will see a 4 man outfield. Last year the shift may have vost him 13 hits.
  15. Did anyone see the 4 man OF deployed against Harper? You would think he would be able to hit to 3rd base side and still get a double.
  16. You may want to add a couple from other rosters.
  17. Well it will be interesting. His home ERA despite giving up way many HRs was better than away. There is likely to be some free agents after rosters are cut to 25.
  18. Changing the distance is going to change the direction of people's pitching careers.
  19. Kimbrel for a year and be able to trade at deadline though you will have to get rid of draft pick. Same with Keuchel. Keuchel will eat innings. Probably a .500 pitcher.
  20. I have been to 41 MLB parks so far with 4 more to go. Anyways, I see that baseball is going to play in Japan for 2 games on March 20-21. Monterrey, Mexico is hosting 4 games in April and May. Omaha, Nebraska gets a game in June. London, England gets 2 Yankees and Red Sox games in June as well as if this will really increase baseball popularity there. Williamsport, Pennsylvania will get a Pirates/Cubs game. In the past they have played in Puerto Rico for several games when the Expos were on their way out of time. Las Vegas hosted the A's whenever their field was being fixed for the return of the Raiders. Hawaii has hosted opening days. One game has been played in Williamsburg. There has been a game played in Disney's ESPN field. I am surprised that they are just playing exhibitions in Montreal's Olympic stadium instead of hosting a series. Have I missed any alternative stadiums in the last 20 or so years where they played regular season games? I am surprised the Royals don't play Thursday games in Omaha before this season for attendance boost. I've looked into seeing if a football dome could be comfigured to play a game. I missed visiting the Astrodome, but, wonder if they could play a weekend series there. Any ideas? The Twins years ago had suggested playing outdoors for a series before the new Target Field was realized, but, it was rejected.
  21. Injuries during a game to your opponent versus injuries to your own players. They should be about the same over time. Might reveal insight on training? I always believed that my team always has more broken hands by hit by pitch than my opponents.
  22. Three batter rule or the end of the inning. If pitcher catches someone stealing that counts as one.
  23. You can have more than 1 blown save per game as a team.
