  1. Dope. Love reading stories about this. One of the reasons I find modern baseball so interesting.
  2. So I hate to be this guy every year, but once again the MLB makes it a huge pain to watch the Twins if you're in a blackout market. In 2019 I was able to watch the Twins on FSN on YoutubeTV, then FSN got dropped from youtube TV. In 2020 I switched to Hulu, but now Hulu/Sinclair has dropped FSN. So going into the 2021 season with FSN being renamed Bally Sports North, does anyone know of a service where I can stream this channel? Or has anyone heard any updates about a streaming giant picking it up now that they're partnered with Bally? I feel like my only option at this point is MLB.tv and a VPN which also means that I'll have to connect to my TV via airplay. Anyone have any thoughts?
  3. This Royals series has been brutal to watch. Every game has been very winnable, but our pitching has been atrocious. Combine that with spots of the lineup being completely unable to get on base, it's some of the most frustrating baseball to watch. And yeah, I'm kind of over Bremer calling Berrios our ace. He's not, and hasn't looked like an ace since spring early summer last year.
  4. I say this seriously. At some point do with think about bringing in Willians Astudillo? Or at the very least rotating him in to see if he can get on base regularly?
  5. Hahaha, that's hilarious. Yeah all I see are a bunch of what look like knock-off sites screen printing them. Honestly, the font used on that shirt probably makes it so that the typo is not that noticeable.
  6. Anyone know if the Twins are selling the Summer Camp T-Shirt officially anywhere? I see a few random T-shirt sites selling this shirt, but I'm wondering if there is an official vendor. Apologize in advance for the slightly off topic thread.
  7. I watched that and was rooting for him. Sad that he's not a Twin anymore, dude has some velo.
  8. Thanks. I may have to bite the bullet and just do a couple months of Hulu Live. It's just frustrating because I honestly do not need another streaming/TV service.
  9. Unfortunately as @Tom Froemming mentioned, it can vary depending on zipcode. As of this spring, Fox Sports North is no longer available for many zipcodes in Iowa.
  10. That's a good point. The Twins have a lot of fans down in Iowa and we're really suffering from the Fox regional packages being dropped. Which is further complicated by the fact that we're significantly affected by MLB's blackout policy, which renders MLB.tv useless (unless I decided to do MLB.tv + a VPN). The entire state of Iowa, for example, is within the blackout areas of the Twins, White Sox, Brewers, Cubs, Cardinals, and Royals. If anyone has any good legal suggestions, I'm all ears. YoutubeTV was perfect until this latest fiasco with the Fox regional packages. It shouldn't be this difficult to watch your favorite baseball team.
  11. With the season fast approaching, what is the best way to watch Twins Baseball as a cord cutter? For the past several years, I've been using YoutubeTV to hit Fox Sports North, but now that channel has been dropped. So I'm just wondering what other people are doing? I don't really want to pay for a Hulu TV subscription on top of the Youtube, and I have no interest in going back to cable. Is there any way to access Fox Sports North just as a singular channel? Unfortunately I think MLB network is a no-go because I live in a neighboring state to MN and fall under the blackout.
  12. It's pretty clear that there are a lot of mid market teams like the Twins that don't actually care about competing for a world series. They're happy to market gimmicks like "Bomba Squad" to get butts in seats during the regular season, but will never pony up the cash when it matters the most.
  13. Doesn't change the fact that pitching was our glaring issue well before the trade deadline and we did practically nothing to upgrade.
  14. I apologize, I didn't expect my comment to blow up like that. I only meant it tongue-in-cheek. YoutubeTV works the best for sports, that's just my opinion. Shrug.
  15. Also a Millennial. Stop being confused boomers and just get youtubeTV. I wish I didn't have to pay our corporate overlords at google, but if you like sports youtubeTV is the best option for streaming.
  16. It's really hard not to be mad about obvious bullpen deficiencies, and then let the frustration lead to a general anger at how the MLB functions more broadly. Balls being juiced are not bad for baseball, it's all of these spending/risk adverse front offices that continually guarantee that only a handful of teams are relevant in the post season every season. Baseball is still fun to watch, but when you are capable of diagnosing an obvious problem like the Twins bullpen literally all season, and then continually watch as you are proven right, you have to feel like the Twins organization really doesn't care about us fans, and just want to fill seats and sell a bunch of Bomba shirts. I'm going to keep watching, but it's going to be so heartbreaking to watch the bullpen continue to perform like this going into the postseason.
  17. Yeah, it's mostly just boring and annoying as a fan. Like obviously there are a few instances when it can be amazing and entertaining, but the good outweighs the bad for sure.
  18. I keep checking everyday for updates on Willians Astudillo, but I am always disappointed. Is there a chance that he might not play at all anymore this year?
  19. Romo is kicking ass, and the Polanco catch was incredible, although I will say that's the type of catch that looks better at regular speed than it does in slomo.
