  1. I am in mourning… a week or more now. David Bowie was a great hero of mine. His music transcended the eras he was stuck in. He was a forward thinker and for the most part his music was futuristic or at the least down, gritty and a curve ball at the time. The world seems lesser now. At a time the air was fresh and consumable. Now it seems stale and what we, as a whole are stuck with. Some may think that David Bowie has be gone for 30 years, but he has put out some very good stuff, whether it be “Tin Machine” or the solo stuff he put out in the 90’s. His newest album, which he released days before his death, falls into the category of his greatest works. Blackstar is a gem and I will hold it dear to my being for the rest of my days. Till he was at the end, he remained relevant, not many of his contemporaries can say the same. His final album “Blackstar” is a revelation and resonates within me. Staring into the face of a dire and final end outcome, he shined as bright as could be, the brightest of all time. I mourn David Bowies loss, but I celebrate it with great love and his endless influence. Blackstar
  2. After watching this movie it is comfortable to assume that Rey is Luke's daughter, but that may not be true. I am going to assume the age difference between Ben Solo and Rey is around 10 years. Rey was probably born at the dawn of of Ben's destructive ways that killed the Jedi training academy and maybe they needed to hide her. The same could be said for Luke Skywalker. Maybe his wife was a casualty of Kylo Ren's insurgence. Either way, Han knew of who she was because of Maz Kanata in the scene where she asked "who is the girl". There was a connectivity with Leia and Rey with their long embrace. And there was the sadness of Luke's encounter with Rey. I can see how Luke and Han conspired to keep her hidden, and that works both ways for lineage. The long embrace by Leia confirms the connection. I am going to go out on a limb still suggesting that Rey is Han and Leia's child, I would figure that Luke does not have time to shack up and is focused on training the new generation of Jedi. Ben Solo ****s that up and the Knights of Ren are Jedi trainees who are accommodating to Ben Solos tactics that are passed down by Snoke.
  3. Forgive me for putting this thread out. It is somewhat of an experiment. As we know the White Sox are called the "Pale Hose" and the "Sux". What other nicknames do they have? Do we have anything else to offer to the cause? Me, myself, I like "man wipes".
  4. This movie was just short of great! It was a fast paced movie and exciting all the way. The detailed and emotional parts of the movie suffered because of this and that is my negative critique. I'm seeing it again tomorrow morning!
  5. I can't think of a better way to start off my day!
  6. Tomorrow at 9:30am. I'm counting the seconds.
  7. This trade bums me out. I can't believe the Twins traded Willie Banks for Matt Walbeck. What are they thinking?
  8. I don't think the trade was an indictment against Storen. Washington needed back-end bullpen help and they hoped Storen would play the role of being a good soldier. Papelbon would not have approved the trade if he wasn't going to be the closer.
  9. Is that a hipster hat or a bicycle seat cover... or something else?
  10. Don't be greedy Chief. We need to suffer from undue stress at some point in this game.
  11. They are all saved on my computer - no worries.
  12. There is no good reason for me to team these 2 elements together. The only binding element is that they are 2 things that sicken me. It's my Hate hot dish.
  13. If this rumor is true - I am curious as "All Get Out" to see what happens.
  14. Word up Vanimal! Bark is in da house. Crazy rumor out there... Detroit has supposedly pegged Ron Gardenhire to be their new manager at the closing of this season, ousting Brad Ausmus. If this is true, will we be seeing a return of the aloof Scotty "The Weird" Ullger as a coach under Ron? Will Rick Anderson ride into Detroit on his White Stallion and bitch slap the pitching coach position away from Jeff Jones? This is crazy, but way premature in the rumor stages. If it happens, what can we expect? I'll hang up and listen Oh Lord of the Airwaves.
