  1. Sorry, I was at my BiL's Groom's Dinner. Trust me on this one. Leo's arm is somewhat around the bear, but the bear is huge and Leo's an average sized man, there is no way he could get his arm around him.
  2. I think the bear is fasting until the Twins win again.
  3. Well, if we are doing predictions... I think Park is going to hit 6HRs with 6RBIs tonight.
  4. Sorry Van. I don't feel like getting "Served" today.
  5. It appears that bear has been smokin' indo, sippin' on gin and juice.
  6. Happy Birthday Van! Live it up!
  7. Hey Van. Bark here. Love the show. LOVE IT!!! I have been troubled of late with some things, mainly Fanaticism v. Fandom When I read Twins Daily Threads, for the most part, it is really extreme, with individuals going at lengths to talk about the player's salaries and these players have a fairly good track record, but they have sucked this year. 4 months ago it was a good deal, I guess now it is not. Now they are gone. I believe we are all devout fans of the Twins, but there seems to be two school of thought. 1. Fanatics, that can never have their soul soothed when it comes to being negative about the Twins, no matter the outcome. and... 2. The objective fans, that are witness to the successes and failures of their favorite ball club, and criticize and complement their club on how the situation stands in the present time. I sure am passionate about baseball, but sometimes it does not go the way you want it to and you end up disappointed, but I still enjoy my life, baseball cannot quash that or lift me up to be a king. There is a huge faction among us TD members, who seem to be inquisitionists and lay waste to, and crucify players who don't live up to there expectations, this is concerning to me for all players, but especially the young guys. I think TD has turned into a partisan kind of country of sorts. Can we unite or must there be a civil war?
  8. That's a two edged sword, if both of them were being productive and executing there roles, people would think the Twins did good with their investment, which I don't think was an unrealistic proposition, it just went the opposite way. These 2 players track records do not indicate awfulness, the Twins pretty much payed them for what they were worth expectation wise. They were average.
  9. I believe this to be a step in the right direction.
  10. Psycho - for example: Peabody Firefrost approaches hitters like a Psycho, with his velocity and assortment of pitches, he just murders batters at the plate. That 100mph quivering fastball is a slash across the jugular, the curve ball is disembowlement and the off speed stuff is a sharp and a precise stab into the heart. I wish the Twins had one of these.
  11. That is what you would call a "White Castle Hot Dog". Diarrhea here we come! Plop Plop Fizz Fizz oh what a relief it is.
  12. I missed the game tonight as I had band practice, but when I seen the score when I turned on the good old television, it was a dreadful site. Sorry you folks had to go through that. What a disaster. I'd like to think we can turn this thing around, but it is now more than a SSS. That sucks.
  13. I don't think Meyer is a lost cause. He sort of strikes me as a guy who, when he has his spells of wildness and inefficiency, it mentally racks him and drags him down. To me this is the greatest concern to me about this guy. He won't make it as a starter or reliever in MLB if what I am saying ends up being true and cannot be changed. At this point, I would be tremendously happy if he could eventually make an impact as a starter or reliever. Go Guy Go!
  14. I'm more of a Brat or Polish Sausage guy than a hot dog guy, but once in a while I will buy some hot dogs skin on, either grill or fry them in a frying pan and put some nasty Hormel Chili without beans on them suckers... with a bun of course. It might sound gross, but it is good to me in a nostalgic kind of way from my youth. I'm probably pretty on course with ChiTown with the Polish Sausages and Bratwursts topping wise, but sometimes when there is a strange wind blowing through my neck of the woods, I will put coleslaw on them, especially Cheddar Brats I buy from the local meat market. It's actually pretty damn good.
  15. No, it certainly is not, keep posting, don't be a martyr. I just want to be respectful of the women who post daily to the game threads. I know they exist and are on the game threads daily.
  16. Sure, I get that. One needs to know there limitations.
  17. In all due respect Aggie7. Women do post on this site and in these threads. I can be PC, but I try not to be on certain things. I think your post is sexist and disrespectful to our equal counterparts. I'm sure it was a joke, but we need to take in mind the feelings and integrity and respect of the better gender.
  18. Hey RB, unfortunately my wife wants me to watch "Revenant" with her. We'll have to postpone this for another date. But we will get it done eventually!!!
  19. My time is limited tonight, but what do have cooking?
  20. Roof, Roof or Bark, Bark.... one of the 2.
  21. I hope I don't have to use this after the game's outcome. Disclaimer: Suicide is not funny. This image was used as a Rally Icon. Bark's Lounge, Inc. is not liable for how any individual wants to define this image. If it is offensive, Bark's Lounge, Inc. sends its deepest apology.
  22. My first job was being a dreamer, that didn't work out too well for me and now I live off the government. But not to worry, I still dream big.
  23. I usually don't get too worried about slow starts and all that, but what I am watching is very troubling. It's a sloppy mess. I am buckling my seat belt for a rough ride of a season. I think we will probably suck when it is all said and done at the end of the season record wise, but they need to suck in the right way. PLAY the kids, let them take there lumps. Sure this post can be looked as a pessimistic poster letting off some steam, but I don't feel too good about this year, it's going to take a whole hell of a lot to turn this thing around. I still believe there will some fun moments for this team this year, they are young, but very talented. From a realistic stand point, it has started out about as bad as it can get. Last year looks to be some kind fluke, but, I know most of you believe this is a talented nucleus we have on this team. Who knows, maybe they turn it around, but if they don't, I still have some hope for this group of guys in the future. Speaking for myself, I think I got carried away with my expectations. It certainly should not be this bad, but what do you do? This is the reality.
