  1. Thanks Kid. You are a great person and I am proud to be your friend. Thanks for honoring my birthday, It has brought a tear to my eye.
  2. Some will like this, some won't. I have been a big fan of Maajid Nawaz for the last couple of years, this is an article he wrote in the last few days. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/06/14/admit-it-these-terrorists-are-muslims.html
  3. As long as you are going the kidnapping route, and I stress the importance of that. I think the young, on the rise dog is the best route to take. If you want the good stuff, it's better to make the bigger investment!
  4. Hey Blake. Thanks for calling in. I appreciate your excitement. It's you callers that make MN Twins Whine Line great! My take is pretty simple actually. I am pretty certain Molitor sent Ramirez out there in the ninth to reward Giavotella, who at this point in the game was 3 for 3, with a Homerun. That makes sense to me.
  5. Hey Van. I can hear you loud and clear. It's an honor to be manning your station. Sound like things are getting pretty serious with you and the little lady, the acquisition of a dog is a BIG step. You certainly could take the Twins route of acquiring a dog, but that's pretty risky. You will probably end up with a dog that cannot be house broken, refuses to take walks, attacks children, etc., etc... My advice is the following: 1. I would stake out a few neighborhoods and find the perfect, well adjusted family, with two kids, a dog, a nice house and all the other trimmings. You will need to study the behaviors and routines of this family and it might take a week or two, but you should be able to find a window to kidnap their dog. If executed properly this is my favorite way to acquire a dog. The icing on the cake is the children of this family will be crushed... who doesn't like to feed off the tears of sad children? 2. Take a trip to Yulin, China. There are many dogs to be saved in this city and the timing is perfect, although it is sort of short notice. I have attached a link for you to investigate this option. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lychee_and_Dog_Meat_Festival That's my advice Van - good luck on your quest!
  6. You are listening to KVAN Radio. Home of the MN Twins and of course, Twins Daily. This is Bark's Lounge filling in for Vanimal. These are some tough shoes to fill in for and it is not an ideal assignment, but let's make the best of it. It is only temporary. I want to hear your SCORCHING HOT TAKES, the things that make you shake, and your deep down fears of life and Twins baseball. Take a hit off your Spliff, your pipe, or just a breath of fresh air. Relax in the Lounge and take a load off. Make a cocktail if you like. Release your deepest fears, unload the burden that is on your mind. Baseball related or other, let's get this show on the road. We have an empty canvas, let's paint a picture! Caller #1…
  7. Nice write-up Platoon. I agree that the offensive core of this team can be good enough at some point in the not too distant future. Like you, I still have great hopes for Rosario, he showed us some really good stuff last year - pop, speed, excellent defense. That being said, the last I checked his stats in Rochester, he was hitting great, but had zero walks in roughly 80PA's. I don't think he has to walk 50 times a season to be successful, but he has to get somewhere in between 30-40BBs in a full season or it could get ugly… as we seen in his time up here at the beginning of the season. The pitching is another animal all together. Things are really going to have to break right if we are to any good in the next handful of years. I still think Santana, Duffey, Berrios and Chargois can be a part of the solution, but other than that everything is out the window. Who knows what Stewart, Gonsalves, Jay, etc… will bring to the table in the next few years if anything? And the hard throwing reliever prospects, except for Chargois, are doing jack squat. Guys like Brian Dozier need to take instruction better. Whatever he is doing is not working. It is disappointing because he does not strike me as a stubborn moron… maybe I am wrong. He needs make adjustments or he is going to be a horrible liability at the plate. Or maybe he needs new instructors? No offense to Molitor. I am a St. Paul guy and it was a pleasure to watch him play and I believe he is a cerebral baseball guy. Sometimes things don't work out plain and simple. Ryan is an artifact of a baseball era that has been gone for a good amount of time. He needs to exit stage left. Oh, and before I forget, Park is a flip of the coin, the Twins are going to have to take some knees to the nards for a while to see if that is going to work out. Who knows? I hope he works out.
  8. Yeah, I am really walking into the sunset!
  9. Drops the mic, walks into the sunset…
  10. My gut tells me the German kid is going to win this thing for us.
  11. It worked out this time, but Russian Roulette is never a good idea.
  12. I knew it, but I went against my better judgement.
  13. Theoretically Chief is right because Porcino is dead.
  14. Be careful what you ask for. http://images.amcnetworks.com/ifc.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/basterds-fix.jpg
  15. It would be a bad a bad baseball move. Closed and shut.
  16. Vanimal needs to get this up and running again!
  17. Patrick Duffy did a great job there. I cannot wait till we play Dallas. That will be war!
  18. Good job Kep. Some more reparations payed off.
  19. That's great. Say hello to Norm from us.
