    I've been critical of how Baldelli treats players, who are injured, or who appear to be injured during the course of the season. When reading of Baldelli's physical maladies, that cut short his playing career, I understand his excessive concern for players. He had a very trying time, with fatigue, body and muscle aches, and soft tissue injuries. While I believe he is overly cautious, I do understand the direction he is coming from.

    Baldelli should know the recipe for developing pitchers, after being in the Rays organization. Send Wes Johnson undercover to the Mets, and he'll learn how to develop pitchers, although not necessarily durable ones.

    I know the percentage of right vs left is present, but Gordon has had far more at bats recently at the MLB level. Gordon is much faster that Astudillo, and I think Gordon has a higher on-base IQ. I leave Gordon hit and save Astudillo.

    You know who I feel bad for? All those invalids and shut ins who look forward to one thing during their day. They finish dinner early, so they can watch the Twins. Obviously, Twins aren't going to win most, but these people do deserve a better looking team and effort.
