  1. I keep looking for decimal points.
  2. Son: 'Dad, can we go to the Twins game tonite?' Dad: 'Sorry son, but I gotta go over to grandpa's and trim his bunions'.
  3. To save yourself from months of purgatory, when you pass.
  4. It's kind of like a breach of contract. We pay to watch the Twins play MLB. Instead we get A or AA performance.
  5. The gap between actual versus streamed is minutes, not seconds. Usually about a1/3 inning behind.
  6. We got a few guys who have that habit. some at bat, some on defense. Larnach and Kepler do it bat bad once in a while. Garver, Jeffers, Sano and Astudillo like to play peek - a boo on defense, too.
  7. He'd embarrass you, something fierce.
  8. Each team's half inning is divided into thirds. So half of a 'teams half inning cannot exist'. Only Trump can alter this phenomonon.
  9. Thanks, I was really struggling with my insignificant thought.
  10. I see Giolito is starting tonite. All the hype about him during the off season and spring training, must have been meant for somebody else.
  11. Am I having a stroke? How does a pitcher throw for 4 1/2 innings?
  12. Someone told me, "Take one day at a time". So I did. I retired the next day.
  13. Nice job by Simmons, keeping Brantley at second.
  14. Looks like another 'just not the same' Maeda day.
  15. Once again, Mr Sauce shows his defensive prowess.
  16. You can spitball a number of reasons why Cave plays as much as he does. But there doesn't seem to be one major reason that stands out. The only thing I can say about Cave is that he hustles down the line everytime. Hardly a reason to demand a roster spot.
  17. Isn't the proper sequence: 1. The FO and Player Development acquires the talent. 2. The minor league coaches and managers develop the talent. 3. Rocco manages the talent at the MLB level. If the basics aren't in place by the time they reach the show, then 1 and 2, haven't done their jobs.
  18. Walking up the walkway to the field level box seats, was so cool as the green flooded your vision. It was great when you could see batting practice and infield, prior to the game. I didn't care who I was with, I was in my own world, soaking everything in.
  19. Is Gant any realtion to the former Brave, Ron Gant?
  20. Wow, it didn't take long to let the air out of the balloon, tonight. Two wins against the Astros, Sano hitting a little better, Jax looking better, etc. But all dumped, with the negative comments.
  21. I grew up across the freeway from what was to become Met Stadium. The freeway separated Richfield (where I was born) and Bloomington. Behind our house were open fields all the way to what was the parking lots. On a summer evening you could see the glow of lights from the stadium. On a still night, you could hear some of the PA announcements. To me it was like a magical kingdom, just yards away. As I got older, my brother and various cousins would go a ballgame. sometimes we paid, sometimes we snuck in behind the left field bleachers. One time my cousin and I were locked in, on the upper deck. They had locked the gate and put barrels to block the entrance. I remember thinking it was the last game of a homestand, and we'd be stuck up there til the Twins came home. Kids can think up the craziest things. Once we started throwing trash onto the deck below,, security came up and let us out. Baseball was the sport of choice in my family. So the love affair was there from the start. Anyone who has gone to a game, can recollect the sights, sounds and smells, that are unique.
  22. I find it interesting how much time everyone bitches and moans (myself included) about everything. When is the last time a positive comment was passed on concerning the mechanics of the game? Sure as shooting, some will answer "There aren't any". It's all about perspective. I don't have to be entertained every minute I watch TV. Many a time I watch what my daughter watches. Not out of interest, other than doing something together without it costing an arm and a leg. Truth be told, I do find some of her reality shows to have value, even if it is comedic (to me). I look forward to daily Twins games. It's something to look forward to throughout the day, and it's my time, in my den alone. I often, pay bills, scan the internet, or work on projects. I don't have to be highly entertained, but it helps when some good baseball is being played and the Twins win.
  23. 1. Remove plug 2. Al;ow air to void 3. Enjoy beer
  24. Twins' Astudillo wanted some advice from the Astros. so before the game he takes a trash container over to their dugout. Altuve looks at him and laughs. ' Hey man, rubbermaid. isn't going to work'.
