  1. Watch, Jax should pat Baldelli on the butt!
  2. ...........and the monkey chased the weasel around the outhouse.
  3. Yeah, and the players always complain they both smell of urine.
  4. Reporter: " Mr Cora, how do you propose getting out of this slump?" Cora: "I'm not worried. Twins are in for 3"/ Reporter: " Oh yeah, my bad".
  5. Cave said the dirt around first base taste different than the dirt around second. Go figure.
  6. Red sox not giving Twins any respect. Mis-named our pitcher and played Rooker's walk up music for Kepler.
  7. Yes, but it's also probably true that many who supported the contract turned sour when it didn't pan out.
  8. I smell the Joe Mauer contract situation of years ago. All those who said we had to do what it takes to sign him. When things didn't unfold as expected or hoped, we heard complaints and moaning til his contract and playing days were over. If you rfeally think Mauer tanked, that's your business. But, I saw a guy trying to do his best on and off the field. Fair weather fans should migrate somewhere else. In Minnesota, you can't always predict the weather.
  9. No money to be made, except by happenstance. Terrible odds.
  10. I used to play pool and helped out with some of the 'newbies' to the league. Some players are great shot makers. Others knew how to stroke and play shape (position). Some could do both, but shot makers who couldn't play shape were not consistent winners. Look for the overall good player versus the spectacular shot make. Note: Willie Mosconi played boring pool, so to speak. He always played shape and therefore never had to resort to extraordinary shots.
  11. OUr selection process and 'selectors' need to really examine themselves. Other teams are able to select players, who are either ready or who can be taught to play at the MLB level. Years ago the Twins had a scout, Angelo Guiliani (sic) who could do a decent job of judging talent. Now the scouts are looking for 'athletes" who can they hope to transform into baseball players.
  12. Or at least the ugly ones.
  13. Is anyone awake? come on, let's have some discussion, or whatever. Let's not have stiffs online and on the field.
  14. Yankee stadium's right field is a joke. Big league roster, big league, rules,............little league park. Give their hitters credit, their batting practice probably loks more like serving tennis, than hitting baseballs. Teams like Minnesota are too stubborn or unable to 'play' the park and swing away.
  15. We need only 2 signatures to complete our petition to have Manfred revoke our American League Charter.
  16. When Astudillo is in motion on the field, hilarity ensues!
  17. Maeda is in a reverse paternity leave. He's out looking for someone to start a family with.
  18. Bremer needs to shut his mouth. Oh, it's pressure cooker pitching in Yankee Stadium. His first start, Tough hitters. B.S. Yankee stadium is concrete and wood and plastic. Ruth and Gehrig aren't playing. Hitters are tough in all parks. Man up, put your pacifier in your locker and do your job. Baldelli, at least look concerned. Only thing you're concentrating on is chewing your gum. How long does your Chromebook guide your every move. What a waste of a uniform.
  19. BARNES............Let your infielders make the play.
  20. Sano's lady had a baby girl. Doctors report mom and baby are fine. Doctor feels that Sano's daughter has great potential to become whatever she wants in life. Doctor did recommend that she avoid any contact with the Twin's organization, though.
  21. Well, that was sure PATHETIC !!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Probably. I think I heard his wife/girlfriend was due. (according to Bremer) Bremer's in charge of the team's wedding registry. So, no, I don't think you heard it wrong.
  23. I'm so sick and tired of Sano and Buxton. Cut this dead wood. They make absolutely no contribution on a consistent basis. After this many years, Sano should be an established big leaguer or a lumber yard worker. Buxton, has only shown great potential on a few occassions. It's not worth the aggravation. It's like sitting around waiting for 'old faithful' to blow. Let's play baseball, not FO chess. Baldelli needs to use his tablet, as a back up, not as a bible. Nothing is going to happen, unless these guys get up from their nests and be pro-active. Falvey and Levine are like those two guys who look for bargains at estate sales. Hoping to find the diamond in the rough, which turns out to be a petrified horse apple.
