  1. No legend, it's a truth. Yours truly saw at least 2 of them at Met stadium. I did miss the one, where rodney broke for the plate, and Harmon was at bat. Killebrew missed the sign, but luckily didn't swing.
  2. And hitting off the glove is worth? Maybe it will ricochet into the air and he can grab it/ Yeah, that's it.
  3. IMO, Rocco continues to regress as a manager. He's been around long enough to know the game, yet he continues to manage like a newbie. If after this much time, we continue to play with such a poor baseball IQ, one has to wonder if this guy should alternative opportunities.
  4. Is there even 1 in all of MLB? I don't think talented is pooled amongst a few teams. Why do teams win one year and stink the next, even with similar rosters. I believe the mental approach can many times make the difference. We're not comparing talent between a high school team and the majors.

  6. Is there another teams that can't hold a lead or gives up a run after scoring a run, than the Twins. Definitely, a lack of intestinal fortitude (guts).
  7. Buxton looks like Sano, minus 70 pounds
  8. Oh, come on. We don't need a 20 minute dissertation of fingers in the glove.
  9. Two of Minnesota's most scholarly athletes, Tim Laudner and Milt Sundae.
  10. 20% chance of showers? Roof stuck? 9 mph winds? Are they opening all the windows? Let's get real.
  11. The expectations should be to play a winning brand of baseball, not just being better than the teams in your division. If you have aspirations of winning a world championship, it has to be based upon your performance. Finishing first in your division or as a wild card, just opens the playoff door.
  12. 20 days? That's the deadline, no law saying we can't deal now. Other teams may not be ready, but we should think of making a tempting enough deal that might help towards salvaging the season. One deal that won't be made, is the waste of space managing this team.
  13. Indicates our whole attitude/philosophy. We play to tie or not lose. We only seem to play hard, when having to overcome early or large deficits. We sprint to the dug out, limp onto the field. We mope around, rather than show some grit. We collapse when the pressure is on. Our manager wants to be buddies with his players, rather than a leader. A manager who studies the IL, but can't manage active bench players.
  14. Nice approach by gordon. Very few at bats, if any against Moore...................so, swing at first pitch. .
  15. True, ample time for Texas to tack on a half dozen of runs or more.
  16. Baldelli has hit close to rock bottom. How can you let smelzer get runners on first and third, no outs, and not sned out your pitching coach/ If no other reason, to try and break up their momentum. Next batter, hits a 3 run dinger..................Nothing, except balldelli reloads his mouth with seeds or whatever. Next guy up, hits a solo shot. Balldelli skips to the mound for a pitching change. So, in the matter of half an inning, Smelzer gives up 4 runs and Balldelli, looks like the Scarecrow from the Wiz of Oz.
  17. well. then he should know the way.
  18. Maybe you should move to Texas.
  19. So, how's our Cy Young boy doing ?
  20. I'm talking in general, overal several, games, moths, seasons. The guy, to me, has an agenda, that sometimes is questionable. If you can't read that in my post, my apologies.
  21. Sorry, I should have explained I was talking about a larger time frame, than the last hour.
  22. Rocco amazes me at his moves and reasoning. The goal is to WIN, WIN, WIN, WIN, ETC. at this level. He's not being paid, to build warm fuzzies, and unicorn droppings. Players love him, until the end of the season when they're watching the playoffs at home with their Twins' onesies on.
  23. I think his name is pronounced wine-der, but the guys in the locker room, changed it to Win-der. I have no clue, why?
