  1. Rocco looks sharp today. He's doing a great job. Reminds me of Buttermaker!
  2. If you (people in general) believe that today's athletes are superior in terms of conditioning, diet, exercise, training, supplemental medicine, then how does that logic compute with the fact that guys like blyleven, gibson, marichal, ryan, etc. threw for more 300 innings during some seasons. My only thought it has to do with kids today suffering from burnout. Yet, most kids still play ball today as much as kids did, when I was growing up.
  3. Parfigliano The most polite poster on the site.
  4. If you don't push your starters every once in a while, they don't build their arms or build up their endurance. On the other hand, if your relievers are up and down warming up and pitching often, they tend to wear down their arms. Arm strength is unique for pitchers, and it usually dictates who make better starters than relievers.
  5. h2oface, what a true and simplistic statement. Why is it so difficult for the Twins to implement this line of thinking?
  6. To back track a bit. Does Kepler's sore toe open the door for Sano?
  7. The Indians are playing ' booger' baseball. We just can't seem to shake them off our finger.
  8. Tigers don't play bad baseball. they just come up a little short. Very frustrating.
  9. , who else would we have that consistently grounds out, into the shift?
  10. Too gruesome to describe, Mike.
  11. Remember the days when a catcher would actually split his finger, and would have the trainer tape it, and return to finish the game?
  12. we'll see Kepler in a couple of weeks
  13. Ok. Rocco moves Pagan to the top of the list for relievers. We're set!
  14. My tat would be tortega tumbling between 2nd and 3rd.
  15. Kepler is one of the most stubborn hitters I've ever seen. tim and time again he hits into the defensive shift. Even faling a bunt, once in a while, would open things up. He doesn't hit the ball over the fielders to keep trying to beat the shift. Not a team player from the plate.
  16. Depends on your point of view and how touchy you are.
  17. I don't think you would. It gets a little personal and vulgar.
  18. Dump Bremer. This guy tonight is a welcome sound.
  19. Hey, tigers have more fans than vendors and security guards, tonight.
  20. Days off. IL, off time, rest..............all terms rocco needs to eliminate from his vocab the second half of the season.
  21. I heard Rocco was bragging to the guys in the clubhouse about his ASG break pedicure. His wife provided it.
  22. Guys like gordon, will absolutely drive you crazy, with their inconsistencies.
  23. Gordon...................smooth, very smooth
