  1. He doesn't have guys like Altuve, Bregman, Gurriel, Tucker, etc in the lineup, either.
  2. They have a Motel 6 next to the park?
  3. Gray said Mahle was in the trainer's room yesterday, "Doing some shoulder stuff". Hopefully it's just routine prep for his start, tonite.
  4. Yeah, I miss him hitting into the shift most of the time.
  5. Too bad, no Buck tonight. If ever we needed a strong comeback in a series, it would be tonight. Any Jay momentum enhanced could snowball into an ugly 4 game set.
  6. Mr. Moist, I think your memory is a little too selective. In all of the time duffey was a Twin, you mention only a year, where he was good to very good. I think if he was a cat, he would be pushing 9+ lives. My observation of duffey was over his entire career with the Twins.
  7. Wow, I didn't know Duffey was held in such high esteem. I always thought of him as a marginal pitcher. a guy who had to always prove he belonged. His luck ran out, and he can pursue other endeavors. But, I hope he never enters Target Field again, unless he's purchased a ticket. He's been eulogized on this forum way too graciously, IMO. I would be hard pressed to remember more than a few occasions when he was good to outstanding.
  8. If The Twins and Baldelli can't right the ship and make the playoffs, then it's time to part ways. Baldelli's experience level was limited to begin with. He has shown over time he can't manage a pitching staff and he can't piece together a consistent line-up. His 103 win season, now looks more than ever, to be a fluke. He lacks the ability to make good, consistent choices. He uses the IL as a means of hiding not the team's flaws, but his not own.. It's time to put the Mr. Nice Guy to bed and get somebody who can crack the whip. We need someone who can manage and motivate. The manager can't be, 'a be all to everyone'.
  9. Take an acid bath. Wash this game away. Let's be positive about tomorrow.
  10. You know how money in Vegas you make, when the house doesn't pay on a push,? Bo Diddley Squat.
  11. Baldelli's post game remarks: " We'll refill the sunflower seed bag and bubble gum bucket and come after them tomorrow" "Hopefully, a family emergency will cause me to leave the team for the next 3 days" " I just can't say more about our ground crew. Every hard hit ball by the Jays took a true bounce into the outfield." "We have a limited budget, so we will only use pitchers who are wearing used uniforms. The new guys will be used very sparingly".
  12. This is like a little league team versus a high school team. Twins can't handle the hard hit balls by the Jays.
  13. Of course, opposite arm thrower. I certainly wouldn't say pitcher.
  14. Is Duffey the reincarnation of Brian Duensing?
  15. It's one thing to battle and lose a close game. Even though a loss is still a loss, regardless, at least have some pride for Chrissakes!
  16. If the Target Field fans had any cajones, they'd empty the entire place, right now.
  17. Pagan and Duffey need to buy a tandem bike, and pedal themselves across the river.
  18. WE have an opportunity this weekend to see a (poser- Twins) versus a contender. Baldelli schooled by a rookie manager who looks more like the 'cookie monster". . Just pathetic. Great way to open a series. On the other side, we can sweep the next three, at least mathematically.

  20. Most of the people in the Midwest are working on a Wednesday afternoon. The work ethic doesn't allow big crowds during the week days.
  21. And a few beers and bratz should beef up the puny crowd.
